I was just informed, that "Portugués de Brasil" has been shipped. I pre- ordered it
before the release of April 2013 and I am about to receive it next week. Usually five
business days for shipping. About ten months off from the initial release date. There
were delays, as even the current batch of programs will have.
I just want forum members to realize, that different stores will vary when it comes to
stock and availability. Amazon.ca had the listing before April of 2013 and the Assimil
website did not have it listed even after the release date for how many months. I am just
happy Amazon.ca is able to obtain the course. Canada seems to have an easier time in
ordering Assimil programs with a different language base, than Amazon.com.

Kroatisch ohne Mühe coming out in June. I can't find it in the Assimil catalogue though. I hope they will release it with English base too.

I'm on the cusp of ordering German with Ease- was looking to do so in the next couple of
weeks once I've moved house.
Is there any point in waiting for a couple of months if a new version is imminent?

Assimil hits their target release dates about as frequently as I stick with a language.
That is to say, never.
The current course is supposed to be solid. Would you rather get it and start learning
now or waste months waiting for the new course? I say get this one now. Or go entertain
yourself on the Deutsch Welle site.

Thank you for making me laugh this morning. This should be their new company slogan.

Thanks, ericblair. I knew from the forum that their courses were (mostly) highly regarded
but wasn't sure about the current German with Ease. I've gone and ordered as soon as I
read your post :D

German With Ease and L'allemand - collection sans peine (or whatever the new series is
officially called) both complement each other very well. I prefer the immediacy of the
language, the humour and recordings of the new one (I have gone through it in the French
base), but German With Ease is a very solid course.
Be warned, however, there were some very occasional and minor translation errors in the
first edition of German With Ease (generally arising from translating the original
French base to English too literally)- I don't know if these have been addressed in the
new version, however.

Hopefully fixing translations is the reason for the delay since it was first due out
last November!
