when was that released? I just took a look and saw it on their site, had no idea it was even in the works. Oddly enough it says there are no mp3s or CDs available for the recorded lessons. weird.
it's a shame they don't put a couple of pages/excerpts from the book on the website, I'd love to see what it's like before buying it.

Whilst we are on the subject of new courses - a re-recorded version of Dessard's Il
Latino Senza Sforzo (the old Latin sans peine) has been apparently released - although
the ordering system on the website won't let me order it for the UK:

Ask them via email, they'll send you a very poor photocopy of the first lessons.

I received my copy of the new Assimil Russian and it came with four CD's and a CD of MP3's. I've only taken a very quick look at the course but it seems good. I think they've greatly expanded the explanations compared to the French version of the course. The English course also has a grammar section at the back.

Looks like it was released February 20 which is my birthday! I ordered the Superpack from Amazon France which contains the coursebook, CD's and MP3's all in one. Amazon France is cheaper than ordering from Assimil directly and I've heard they package their items much better than Assimil does.

Does anyone know if the new Assimil Russian with Ease contains the same audio as Le Russe Sans Peine, or is it
completely new lessons?
As I have Le Russe, if the audio was the same I would just get the book; if it's new I'll buy the whole thing! :)

Yes, it should be the same audio. There is a way to check this sort of things on Assimil's web: You find the French and English version of the course you want to buy in the catalogue:
http://www.assimil.com/descriptionProduitDetail.do?paramIdPr oduit=3219¶mIdMethode=3219
http://www.assimil.com/descriptionProduitDetail.do?paramIdPr oduit=2502¶mIdMethode=2502
Both these pages have an "Audio CDs only" link on the right, you click there and if you get the same product with the same ISBN, it means the two books use the same audio support.
Or you can always email them.
