Morning French Assimil French with Ease - Listened to Lessons 30-40. ~20 minutes. Russian Assimil Russisch ohne Mühe - Listened to Lessons 1-9. ~15 minutes. I've not yet studied lesson 9 in the book, but understood most of it, as it deals with the у вас, у меня etc. constructions, which I've studied before in one of my books. Evening Russian New Penguin Russian Course (henceforth NPRC) - Read through chapters 1 and 2; wrote out all of the cursive Cyrillic letters from chapter 2, as well as the words provided after the letters for practice; did one block of words (the words for one through five) from the beginning of chapter 3 with Iversen's word list method. ~30 minutes. French Assimil French with Ease - Listened to Unit 100. I'd planned on listening to 100-104, but was interrupted. Later: did the active wave for Lesson 5 again, but instead of orally, I wrote it out. ~15 minutes. German Just review for today, via my daily repetitions with Anki. I tried to listen to some German radio while showering this morning, but due to the sound of the water, I was unable to make out much of anything. ~10 minutes. Morning German Reread Berlusconi und die Liebe; reviewed the vocabulary list for it that I made a few days ago. ~10 minutes. Read Zum Zahnarzt nach Ungarn. I didn't make a vocabulary list yet, as I'm strapped for time, but I knew the vast majority of the words. I'd say 5-10 words will be on the vocabulary list. Also, I still need to listen to the audio for this one. ~10 minutes. Reviewed a few pages of word lists; started a new one, and covered 14 words before having to quit when class began. ~20 minutes. Evening French Assimil French with Ease - Reread Lessons 87 and 88; did active wave for Lesson 6 again; reviewed Lesson 7. ~15 minutes. Russian Assimil Russisch ohne Mühe - Listened to Lessons 5 and 6. As I expected, as I'm wholly unfamiliar with any other Slavic language, I'm forgetting the vocabulary at an alarming rate. Even though I "knew" all of the words in these 2 lessons the last time I listened to them, this time, there were a number of words I simply don't understand. Morning German Wrote to one of my language exchange partners; wrote to my German tutor. ~30 minutes total. Filled 1/4 sheet with German words from Using German Vocabulary. 28 words. ~15 minutes. Read 4 pages of Der Rettende Weg, noting words I didn't know. I then started the process of looking up translations of all of them. I'm about halfway done in making the list. ~45 minutes. Russian Read through the explanation of verbal aspect here. Still a little confused about it, but I understand it more than I did after reading the explanation a few days ago. ~15 minutes. Evening Russian Assimil Russisch ohne Mühe - Read through Lessons 1-5 out loud; read all of the notes. Refreshed my memory of a few of the stray words which I'd forgotten. ~15 minutes. French Assimil French with Ease - Did Lesson 104. Listened to the audio a few times, reading the French then the English; then read the notes; then compared the French and English texts. I was a bit annoyed to find yet another word in a lesson that doesn't appear in the glossary. Oh well. ~20 minutes. Did active wave for Lessons 6 and 8, both orally and in writing. I'm finding that doing the active wave in writing is particularly helpful; I've already nailed down a few accented characters that I was previously unsure about. ~20 minutes. Morning Assorted Did Anki reviews for the day. Around 70 cards, ~10 minutes. German Reviewed the Deutsche Welle article "Zum Zahnarzt nach Ungarn"; added any unknown words to Anki. ~10 minutes. Afternoon French Assimil French with Ease - Listened to Lesson 104 twice; a bit later, listened to Lessons 99-103, once each. ~15-20 minutes. It's problematic to give a time for these listening exercises, as I don't really want to check the length of each lesson, but they do vary quite a bit. Evening Russian NPRC - Read chapter 3, and did words in the vocabulary list at the end with the word list method. Started to read chapter 4; stopped and jumped to chapter 11 to learn about the verbs that end in -ся (they're reflexive). ~1 hour. (Later): Read chapter 3 in full; practiced orally producing the present conjugations of the example verbs given. ~20 minutes. French Assimil French with Ease - Did the active wave for Lesson 9, orally and in writing. Reviewed Lesson 104 orally twice. ~20 minutes. German Reviewed some word lists. ~15 minutes. Morning German Read through the latest corrections from my tutor; added the corrections to Anki. ~20 minutes. Reread the Deutsche Welle article "Berlusconi und die Liebe." Listened to the audio again. ~10 minutes. Reread the Deutsche Welle article "Zum Zahnarzt nach Ungarn." ~5 minutes. Afternoon German Looked up some more words from my last reading session with Der Rettende Weg. Almost done with it, and then I'll study the words via Iversen's word list method. ~15 minutes. French Assimil French with Ease - Reread Lessons 76 and 77. ~15 minutes. Evening Russian NPRC - Did exercises in chapter 3. Read chapter 4, started working on the exercises. ~1 hour. Assimil Russisch ohne Mühe - Listened to Lessons 5-9. ~10 minutes. Read Lessons 5-8. ~10 minutes. French Assimil French with Ease - Read Lesson 105; as it's a review lesson, there's no audio for it. Also ran through the active wave for Lesson 9 again, orally, to make sure I'd not forgotten anything. ~15 minutes. Morning Assorted Did Anki reviews. ~15 minutes. Afternoon / Evening German Filled 3/4 of a sheet of paper (counting both sides of the sheet) with words from Using German Vocabulary. Started and finished Level 1 of the Agriculture lists. ~45 minutes. Read Kein Platz für Atommüll at Deutsche Welle, and made a list of the words I didn't know along with their definitions. ~10 minutes. French Assimil French with Ease - Listened to Lessons 9-15. Listened to Lesson 104 and reread the French. Moved on to Lesson 106 and did it as I always do new lessons. ~30 minutes. Russian Assimil Russisch ohne Mühe - Listened to Lessons 8 and 9 3 times each; read through each lesson twice (Russian, German translation, notes). ~30 minutes. Morning German Reread Kein Platz für Atommüll, and looked over the list of words I took down yesterday. ~5 minutes. Read Zu wenig Nachwuchs in Europa, and made a list of the words I don't know, along with translations. Listened to the audio for the article. ~12 minutes. Did 21 words total from Using German Vocabulary with the word list method. ~10 minutes. Did about a page (one side only) of words with Iveren's word list method (henceforth IWLM.) ~30 minutes. Afternoon / Evening German Did more words with IWLM. Probably about 1 whole side of a sheet. ~45 minutes. French Assimil French with Ease - Listened to Lessons 100-106 again, twice apiece. ~30 minutes. Russian Assimil Russisch ohne Mühe - Listened to Lessons 5-9 again, twice apiece. ~20 minutes. Morning German Reread "Kein Platz für Atommüll." ~5 minutes. Afternoon / Evening Assorted Did Anki reviews; 10 minutes. French Assimil French with Ease - Reread Lessons 100 and 101. ~10 minutes. Russian Read Basic Spelling Rules of Russian. ~10 minutes. Read Russian Verbs. ~10 minutes. I only read these as I was at school without my books, and wanted to work on Russian a bit. The latter article in particular had far too much information in it, and I'm sure I'll forget most of it. Did about half of the words from chapter 4 of NPRC via IWLM. ~15 minutes.
