Morning French Assimil French with Ease - Reread Lessons 103-109. It was "off and on" reading, as I'm at work, manning the reference desk. I'm going to guess around ~45 minutes. German Reviewed my word lists from yesterday; did 21 new words from Using German Vocabulary via IWLM. ~25 minutes. Afternoon German Did 28 more new words from Using German Vocabulary. ~20 minutes. Assorted Did Anki reviews for the day. ~15 minutes. Evening Russian NPRC - Reviewed my word lists from a few days ago; finished chapter 5 exercises; read chapter 6 up to the vocabulary list. ~40 minutes. Morning German Reviewed a long list of words I've compiled from reading Der Rettende Weg. I still need to put these through IWLM, though. ~20 minutes. French Assimil French with Ease - Reviewed Lessons 12, 108, and 109, with audio and text. Did a first pass through Lesson 110. Ended up reviewing Lesson 12 audio 3-4 times, Lesson 110 2-3 times. Estimate: ~1.25 hours. Afternoon German Hammer's German Grammar and Usage (henceforth Hammer's) - Read from 1.1.11 up to 1.2.3. I'm going to start working through this, along with the accompanying workbook, Practicing German Grammar, to continue refining my German. ~20 minutes. Did some more word lists. ~15 minutes. Russian Assimil Russisch ohne Mühe - Listened to Lessons 8-11 again. ~10 minutes. Assorted Did Anki reviews for the day. ~15 minutes. Evening French Assimil French with Ease - Reviewed Lesson 110; Did Lessons 111-113 (passive wave). While I still have a lot of work to do with the course (active wave), completing the passive wave felt like an achievement of sorts. ~1 hour. German Reviewed word lists / worked on 15-20 new words via IWLM. ~35 minutes. Read some more of Der Rettende Weg; this evening I didn't note any unknown words, I just kept going. I understood the vast majority of what I was reading. Also, I was reading out loud, slowly, to try and force myself to pay careful attention. ~20 minutes. Russian Assimil Russisch ohne Mühe - Reviewed Lesson 11. Did Lesson 12. ~20 minutes total (~5 on reviewing Lesson 11). Morning Russian Assimil Russisch ohne Mühe - Read twice through Lesson 12 out loud. ~15 minutes. German Reviewed some word lists; did 2 blocks of new words (7 words each). ~15 minutes. Afternoon French Assimil French with Ease - Active wave for Lessons 12, 13, 15; read Lesson 14 (review); reviewed Lessons 111 and 113. ~45 minutes. Evening French Assimil French with Ease - Listened to Lessons 1-6. ~10 minutes. Russian NPRC - Did all of the vocabulary words from chapter 6 via IWLM; read through the dialogue for the chapter, as well as the exercises, providing the answers orally. ~25 minutes. Morning German Read Moderner Antisemitismus at Deutsche Welle. I'd planned on making a list of any unknown words, but only ran into one, mitschuldig. ~5 minutes. Started working my way through Clown- und Humortherapie at Deutsche Welle. It's an Alltagsdeutsch article, so it's much longer than a Top Thema article. It also has a lot of actual speech in it, so the vocabulary and grammar is a bit more complicated than in a "standard" news article. ~20 minutes. Relistened to: Kein Platz für Atommüll Zum Zahnarzt nach Ungarn Berlusconi und die Liebe Listened to (for the first time): Freie Sicht auf Nackte (Deutsche Welle article; haven't yet read it). I understood the vast majority of it. First 14 minutes of Schlaflos in München podcast, episode #473. I understood about half of it. I don't think it's an issue with my vocabulary, but rather, the ability for me to parse speech quickly. She speaks much faster than the speakers on the Deutsche Welle podcasts, and so I find myself struggling to "keep up." Total time for listening this morning: ~23 minutes. Afternoon French Assimil French with Ease - Relistened to Lessons 15-20. ~12 minutes. Russian Assimil Russisch ohne Mühe - Relistened to Lessons 1-6. I've forgotten a few of the words, so I'll need to go back review the text. ~12 minutes. German Listened to the rest of Schlaflos in München #473. ~16 minutes. Morning French Assimil French with Ease - Listened to Lessons 22-27, 29-34. ~24 minutes. German Reread Moderner Antisemitismus. I ended up looking up a number of words that I recognized, but felt I could know better. I'll run them through IWLM later. ~15 minutes. Worked through a bit more of Clown- und Humortherapie, noting any words I don't know. I'll look up the definitions later. ~15 minutes. Evening French Assimil French with Ease - Listened to Lessons 36-46 (not counting 42, which was a review lesson.) Did Active Wave for lesson 18. ~25 minutes.
