Here are few examples (auf deutsch, in Italiano, and so on...)
If a dutch native speaker could find some on youtube it would help a lot... thanks...

I'm now on break for the holidays and am finding myself with an excess of time. Since
I've already been learning a bit of Dutch, I couldn't help but jump the gun a bit.
I've been making consistent progress for the past week or so, so I thought I'd make my
goals more concrete and post them here, a nice side effect of which is making myself
more likely to stick to them via fear of public shaming.
I've gone through thirteen out of twenty nine chapters of my Dutch textbook so far and
have started Assimil recently to the tune of twelve chapters. I add most of the
vocabulary to my SRS and try to stay updated.
I've obtained numerous Dutch books including the Harry Potter, Larsson's Millenium, and
LOTR books. As a side note, reading them on a propped up Kindle with their English
equivalents open on the table is actually quite convenient, with no opening, closing,
and flipping back and forth—it almost feels like cheating!
My goal then by the end of the challenge is to finish all the lessons in my textbook,
all those in Assimil, as well as reading one book in Dutch.

Anyone else dealing with similar anxiety? |

I know what you mean! I'm a Middle Eastern Studies and Religious Studies major at my
university and I have to spend a lot of time focused on Arabic. I'm worried that I'll
lose it over winter break while I'm studying Dutch! I'm still very excited to study Dutch
though.

I kind of want to join in this challenge as well, but I do have my reservations; I'm a Chinese major and January is when my classes start back up again...
My plan is to go along with "Assimil Dutch With Ease" during my long bus ride back and forth to school every day and devote some time to watching some Dutch television a couple of times a week.
I guess put my name in the hat for the challenge as well as I will be starting Dutch anyways, but it will depend on how much free time I get apart from my Chinese/meetup times on Skype, etc. to know how much I can actually participate...

Hi everyone.
I read about your challange on the "Language Fixation" blog today. As a native Dutch
speaker I'm also willing to help. I don't know how much time I'll be able to spend on
helping you guys out, but since there are only 2 other volunteers so far, I suppose any
help is welcome.
Veel succes :)

I'm in for the challenge too. I 've already studied Dutch on and off on my own and i think my reading skills at least are in a quite satisfactory level.
Since I've been researching dutch learning material on internet for some years now i would love to help with cool links and information.
My huge problem is that i dont get to practice the language so i have no communication skills and i can hardly follow Dutch people on their everyday chit chat.
Any challenge sounds good. I will be able to join from 7 january, that's when i return from my vacations.
Gellukig nieuwjaar iedereen!
