Euskara:
I finished Assimil! I had some computer issues and lost some Anki stuff, but now i've added everything back in. Today i did lesson 11 of Beginner's Basque and reviewed lessons 1-6 of Assimil. There's still so much more to learn, but some things are starting to make sense. I don't know what it's really called, but where in English you would use an infinitive with a verb, when the subject of verb 2 is different from the main verb, you'll often nominalize the verb in Basque.
For example, in English:
I want to go.
Nik joan nahi dut.
The main verb is nahi, and joan also refers to me.
However, in:
I want you to go.
Nik zuk joatea nahi dut.
Here, the person going is YOU and the person wanting is ME. Joatea is the nominalized form of joan (to go). What you're literally saying is something like "The you going I want." I guess "you going" is treated as a thing, it's the thing that you want. I'm still getting used to this concept, but i'm finally starting to understand it. Assimil used it a few times but never explained it, they just said "You'll get used to it."
Another example of nominalization is in the phrase:
It makes it possible to communicate.
Komunikatzea posible egiten du.
Here, komunikatzea is used in it's nominalized form. I guess it's somewhat similar to using the infinitive or gerund as a noun in English.

在getchicory.com我开始听看“阿Q正传”。 只看了第一章(序),很难啊! 但挺有意思的, 我希望另外几会章简单点。

I finished Assimil and Beginner's Basque! Today i reviewed the third week of Assimil (lessons 15-20) and started the Colloquial Basque course. I'd like to find "The Basque Language: A Practical Introduction", i may end up having to shop online for it. It seems like it's really highly regarded.
I also picked up the Hiru course and will try to follow that as best i can. I've been told that the B1 and up levels are much more interesting, so maybe i just need to stick it out. Despite being a bit boring and the website a bit slow, it seems like it covers quite a bit. And it's free, so...

你读《阿Q正传》啊?对于中国的学生来说, 鲁迅的作品也是很难懂的!
(你知道作者鲁迅是谁,对吧?)
他的数篇作品是中学语文课必读的,可是他的 写作风格是比较难懂。
我们读书的时候,(至少我是这样认为的)都认 为他的作品是枯燥乏味,会让人昏昏欲睡的;-)
所以读完后,都忘记了。
