Great, I'll inform Brun Ugle on the official organisation thread and then hopefully Chung will add you to our list on this one.

Will anyone else take part in 6WC? So far I'm the only one who has registered with Czech.

I would love to but the entry requirement is a level under B1. I sometimes enter with Hungarian, but after having done about 5 of those challenges and putting my all into each one, I´ve lost motivation for them (mainly for keeping records of everything and having to use Twitter).

I've read and translated the text from the blog. First I was quite confused because I expected a fairytale (as the text starts with "Byl jednou jeden král"). I've got to admit that I had never heard of Valašské království before and had to do some internet research. Now I know a bit more :-). I also printed the video transcript (thanks a lot for it, it's extremely helpful) but haven't found time to watch the video yet (working night shifts again). And I still hope to write a short text as a homework. It still takes me quite a long time to read and understand a Czech text, so I'm a bit slow with everything but I really appreciate your efforts, Majka.
@hribecek: I know that you're too advanced to take part in the 6WC and also understand your reasons why you've lost motivation for the challenges. For me it's the opposite, I really want to dedicate as much time as possible on studying Czech during those six weeks and as I normally don't keep records of anything, it's good way to document my studies. Well, I've remained the only one of the Kofoholici team to take part in the challenge but that's ok.
I'm translating another song of Karel Gott and would appreciate some help :-). Please!!!

There is a new post on the blog.
Today's subject is "masopust" - the Czech traditional carnival.
Both the post and the video are short this time because I have almost missed the deadline. Somehow, I was very surprised by the simple fact that Ash Wednesday is coming next week.
The video is short but tricky. There are some unusual dialect words, one person speaks quite far from the norm, from "spisovná čeština". You will still understand, I think, but take the transcript for help if needed.
My post is again in Czech only, the translation will be published on Wednesday. But the complete transcript including translation can be downloaded right away.
Homework, if there are any takers:
- write about carnival, about any interesting customs in your country
- write about your winter experiences
You can still use the subjects from the last time if you want. I will correct everything I'll find in your logs or here.
