The new challenge starts on November 1st, as expected. The bot is now ready to accept
sign-ups.

Tweet something like "@6WCBot I want to #register to study #German intensively in
November. #HTLAL user; working #full-time."
Full-time = that's how long you're busy with things other than languages
Keep in mind that your main target language has to be a weak one - not better
than lower intermediate level. You may however submit the work you do on other
languages as well.

If you're not familiar with the idea yet, read
this explanation or ask someone who
scored well previously. The August
challenge highscore can now be found underneath the May challenge highscore on that
page, freeing up the main page to track sign-ups
and scores for November.

Good luck and have fun!

I'm definitely going to sign up, but it's sooo difficult to decide on a language: Russian, Indonesian and Portuguese are equally tempting right now!

I'll be signing up for Japanese. Again. I'm not past a beginner, but I'll be studying for the JLPT, which I'll take in December.

I was wondering when this thread would show up. Yes, I am signing up today and I will continue with Italian (I'm still nowhere near lower intermediate level) and maybe have Finnish as a secondary language, since my Finnish is also at a very low level.

I am in for Japanese. The last one did help keep up motivation and it is nice to see your
numbers go up.

Since I'm far from low intermediate, I'm going to continue with Chinese again. This is perfect timing as I'm starting on the second wave of Assimil. It will be interesting as I will be restarting German classes at the same time. So it will be a challenge to handle more than one language.

The last 6WC was such a motivator for me, I look forward to this next one.

I never saw the point of twitter. Anyway, hypothetically speaking, how would one sign up for two languages?

You don't have to sign up for any language beyond the first, you can just post your work.
The idea is that you get extra points for studying your main target language (= language
that you register with), but you can also study any number of other languages and get
points for that. Sign up with the language that you want to do more for, or suspect
you'll do more for.
