Yeah! I've seen some movies dubbed in Russian and they were just like that! I wonder why they don't just use subtitles...

Right now I am reviewing Russian case declensions. I just want to write some things
down here for myself before I forget them again! So the feminine words that end in soft sign change their ending to и in the prepositional and genitive singular cases, but the ending does not change in the accusative case. Ok, that's pretty simple, but now I'm going to review genitive plural and dative and get confused! Oh well, I'll get used to it eventually. :) Update: I have reviewed the rest of the cases. Just to illustrate this all for myself, I will take a feminine word with soft sign (кровать) and decline it in every case (at least every one in my book). Ok, here goes: Nominative: кровать; кровати Prepositional: кровати; кроватях Accusative: кровать; кровати Genitive: кровати; кроватей Dative: кровати; кроватям Instrumental: кроватью; кроватями Wow...ok, well now I know how to decline feminine words with a soft sign. So I went over all the cases again. I need a lotttt of practice. I will write some

that's pretty subtle but i'd say в целом is 'on the whole' :)

.. and there's also в общем, which many people mix up with вообще. (native speakers, I mean! a common "hybrid" is вообщем. ewww!) All three are quite interchangeable.
