No, I meant rebuild the whole sentence from scratch. You are given something in English.
Generate a whole German sentence from scratch which has the same meaning as the given
sentence.
So, you would be given "Are you coming with me to the old busstop?" And you have to
generate
"Kommen Sie mit mir zur alte Bushaltestelle"
Instead of filling in the blanks, you have to correctly generate several constructs at
once.

Yes, that's the active wave in Assimil and the FSI and Duolingo translation (from English to German) drills.

Korean 120개 Challenge
I finished off the 120 pages of scriptorium. I basically stopped learning Korean over the last 2 weeks just to get this done. Admittedly, I did get a bit lazy with it near the end and started using some fairly short sentences. In Week 16, I did 35 pages (7 days, 5 pages a day) to bring it down to 13 to go, and I finished them all in the past 3 days.
*phew*...Now that that is over, I can finally get back to to my normal routine for Korean. I doubt I'll be doing any scriptorium for awhile...

Week 17 Review (April 21 - 27)
German: 12 hours, 15 minutes
Korean: 8 hours, 15 minutes
Week 17 Total: 20 hours, 30 minutes
Year To Date: 240 hours, 20 minutes
I'm finding it easier to hit 20 hours now, as long as real life doesn't interfere. In the past when I would want to increase how much time I spent on a language, I would just do what I was already doing, just do more of it. That would lead to burnout. What I've been doing this year is trying to increase the number of different activities I do instead of doing just 2 or 3 things for hours at a time.
For example, here's a breakdown of how my Saturday went for German and Korean.
German
30 minutes of SRS (Anki + Duolingo)
15 minutes of Scriptorium (1 page)
30 minutes of Extensive Listening (lesson dialogs)
15 minutes of Intensive Listening (lesson dialogs)
15 minutes of Native Listening ("bloodhound" listening as Iversen calls it.)
30 minutes of Intensive Reading (Harry Potter)
Total: 2.25 hours
Korean
15 minutes of SRS (Anki)
15 minutes of Scriptorium (1 page)
15 minutes of Extensive Listening (lesson dialogs)
15 minutes of Intensive Listening (lesson dialogs)
15 minutes of Native Listening (bloodhound listening)
30 minutes of TTMIK Lessons (Level 3, Lessons 25 and 26)
Total: 1.75 hours

I just stumbled upon your log, and I can't believe that I haven't done so earlier. Hope
you don't get too stressed out about the "breakthrough". I'm also at that stage in German
where you watch native materials, get what they are talking about, but they still paint a
quite blurry picture in my ears.
And happy Children's Day (어린이날) :)

Thanks Jiwon! It is a bit of a weird feeling. German is my first second language and by far my best at this point, so I haven't really experienced this before. It feels like I've come so far, but it also feels like I so so much further to go. It makes me want to spend more and more time on it.
And happy Cinco de Mayo! :)
