Thanks to Chung, for his faithful updates, but how's everyone else doing?
Although I've been studying hard, I must confess that it's been a while since I wrote anything on the Team Log.
Please, everyone, log in and let us know you're alive!
Dead or alive, I'm throwing down a few challenges for us:
Challenge 1: Storyline
Based on the opening page from Haruki Murakami's novel, 'The Wind-up Bird Chronicle'
[Background: In Murakami's book, the man has just been made redundant from a law firm and is a little bored, while his wife goes to work. Their cat goes missing, his wife is behaving weirdly and he is starting to get telephone calls from a complete stranger].
I've started a story that we can add to and develop how we want, it can be about anything!.
Here goes:
PART ONE
Gotowałem spaghetti w kuchni kiedy zazdwonił telefon. Chciałem zignorować go,
w końcu musiałem dać za wygraną. Poszedłem do salonu i podniosłem słuchawkę.
'Tylko dziesięć minut, proszę', powiedział głos kobiecy bardzo miękko.
'Kim jesteś?', zapytałem.
I was cooking spaghetti in the kitchen when the telephone rang. I wanted to ignore it,
but in the end I gave up. I went to the living room and picked up the receiver.
'Only ten minutes, please', said a female voice very softly.
'Who are you?' I asked
PLEASE feel free to correct and comment. That's the whole point! I know there'll be mistakes. It took me 20 minutes just to compose the above, because I still struggle with Polish syntax.
Our Godmother Marya will help us!
Can someone please continue the story....
Challenge 2: Alphabet Game
Starting with 'A' pick a theme, object or any noun beginning with this letter and write in Polish a sentence or two about it. The next person starts with the letter 'B' and so on...
I'll let someone else start this one!
ALL ideas for challenges and games are welcome! The more variety the better. Maybe a listening challenge...?

I'm still alive! It's a bit harder than I thought it would be, but I'm still trying!
I'll start with Challenge 2:
A: "Autor" Dzisiaj czytam książkę która mojego ulubionego autora pisał. (More or less: "Today I am reading a book written by my favorite author.")

Well done with challenges!
My corrections:
Mooby's text
Chciałem zignorować go,ale w końcu musiałem dać za wygraną. - you forgot "but"
powiedział głos kobiecy bardzo miękko - this word order sounds weird, it's better to write powiedział bardzo miękko kobiecy głos; you have two groups in this sentence - words that describe the verb and words that describe the subject and they should be kept apart, powiedział bardzo miękko should be a fixed phrase
Fuenf Katzen's sentence
1) Dzisiaj czytam książkę mojego ulubionego autora. Today I'm reading abook by my fovourite author, no need to include the verb into that sentence
2) Dzisiaj czytam książkę, którą napisał mój ulubiony autor. ... which was written by ... kto?co? mianownik
napisał - completed activity
Good job Żubry :)

I just wanted to pop in and encourage everyone to keep on going. I didn't update my log in a while because I was so
busy this semester, but I have not let polish go. In fact, I just found a new polish person which whom I will
communicate through Skype and I've been listening a lot to radio podcasts in polish (TOK FM). Jeszcze jestem
żubrowy!
