Dr. Arguelles was before my time here (and by the number of days you've been a member,
yours too), so I can't comment on whether he "had to make a case" for Assimil or not.
What does that even mean?

Lots of us like different courses and/or programs around here, and our biases show. Not
many of us have worked for our favorite language company though. Our biases come from
simple use of the programs and courses. We (well, most of us, anyway) tend to mention
our favorite, what we liked about it, then move on, without the need to defend it.
