Hoezo schattig?

As for my languages, they're more dormant than a sleeping volcano. But once this is over,
I will return to Romanian.

I've done like no formal study of any language lately, but I've practiced a lot of
Romanian and a bit of Hebrew and Russian through chatting. I've also been reading a lot
of Swedish online. Right now I'm listening to Sofia Karlsson.
I'm also planning a similar holiday to Sweden with the same travel style as I had when I
went to Russia (except that I also hope to include Denmark and Norway. When is the bigger
question).

I have slowly started studying formally again. But I've not gone back to Assimil
courses for now, or textbooks, or whatever there may be. I've in fact gone back to the
oldest friend I have - French - and started that one up again. It is time to erase all
the mistakes from my French once and for all. I've reached a level already which is
quite useful because discourse on any topic is possible - it is time to appreciate the
nuances of French in full detail.
This is not to say that I won't focus on other languages here - I will start projects
from scratch, drop languages, add languages, and maintain languages. And most languages
I have now that I can use socially at least somewhat (Dutch, English, French, German,
Swedish, Russian, Romanian, Hebrew, Breton) will be maintained on the current list. But
I will go through a refresher for French first again.
And when university ends, I will go and add Icelandic back to the list. I've dropped it
for a long time.

I have been fortunate to have regular written correspondence lately in two languages
that I don't often use socially: they are Swedish (although I do occasionally get a
chance to speak Swedish, which I always grab eagerly), and, to my surprise, Breton!!!
Since meeting Breton speakers is rare at the best of times, I'm treasuring this,
because our conversation is going entirely through Breton. This is new to me - and I'm
not sure how I'd function in a spoken situation - but I am able to deal with the
correspondence in written form already and that's a bonus. This means that at least
passively, somewhere, I speak Breton somewhat - perhaps not at a good level (although I
was assured that although my Breton is not as proper as it should be, it's more than
sufficiently good). As a rule, I would estimate my written Breton somewhere between A2
and B1. Not very high, and my spoken level is probably A1-.
This in contrast to Swedish, where my written level is very good and my oral level so-
so probably.
