GERMAN
In addition to time spent with Anki review, I read several pages of Der, Die, Was?; listened to audio from Living Language: Ultimate German Advanced; studied writings of German natives (glossa.passion, Fasulye) in the Multilingual Lounge and entered some of their utterances into Anki; read and listened to Darwins Revolution, a Top-Thema at Deutsche Welle, a few times.

Hi magister,

I lived in Pittburgh, which doesn't deserve anymore to be considered an unhealthy place. Well, it is as unhealthy as most big cities, I guess.
I've printed a Russian keyboard map but, for me, the stickers work much better.
However, in the future there must be another solution, if I'm really going to fulfill my plan of learning other languages.

GERMAN
My reading in Der, Die, Was? is going fairly slowly. I like to take in each sentence and savor it, and I'm doing the "look up every unfamiliar word" method. I'm also dumping them into Anki, along with the sentences in which they appear. I find that I am appreciating Anki more and more.
I acquired the old Assimil German Without Toil from the 1960s, and I went through the first 12 lessons. I had never before seen an Assimil, so I was anxious to see what all the hullabaloo was about. It's difficult to judge this method since I already know or semi-know German pretty well; perhaps I'll get Assimil Swahili or the like, so I can get a better feel for it by using it in the context of an unknown language. In any event, I might continue with Assimil German in an effort to improve my poor active production.
I listened to (and read) these Top-Themas repeatedly:

RUSSIAN
A little work in Unit 17 of my textbook, and some reading in Beginner's Russian Reader. I should probably point out that I am only counting "study" time, and not incidental reading as I prowl through uz-translations.net or elsewhere. I don't have a good reason to separate the two purposes except that it would be too unwieldy to track time, and I don't want to be a slave to the clock. Rounding my study time to the nearest quarter hour is good enough for me.
1.5 hrs
TURKISH
My Turkish time was spent exclusively with Yusuf Mardin's Colloquial Turkish, and I'm on Lesson 14. For the most part, this was all solidification and review of material I've learned elsewhere. I'm doing the exercises, I'm doing a little scriptorium, and I'm trying to think in Turkish. In addition, my wife has been interested in learning some basic Turkish for quite a while now, so whenever we share a commute to our respective jobs I teach her some things out of the FSI and Colloquial courses. I actually spent 90 minutes this week teaching her, and I'm not counting this time for log purposes.
2.75 hrs
WANDERLUST
About 30 minutes were spent on the Michel Thomas Japanese Foundation Course. I don't know how a foundation course differs from their other offerings -- I'll have to look into that. I'm still unsure about this system. It seems so incredibly slow, and I can't deal with the bad acting of one of the students. It's clear that she's faking her difficulties.

Hi magister,
Wörter = einzelne zählbare Wörter
Worte = Aussprüche

GERMAN
The usual: DDW?, Anki (a lot of Anki!), some online reading, and a bit of Assimil. No writing, no speaking, no listening. I'm considering fixing this latter problem by joining the 21st century and buying an iPod.
Speaking of Anki, I wrote a little "Intro to Anki" packet and distributed it to all the students in the school. I'm curious to see how many will be interested in using this as a tool in their learning. One of my high-school students latched on to it immediately, and he began inputting vocabulary and sentences in preparation for his French IGCSE.

I completed Unit 17 of my textbook, and I read some stories in Beginner's Russian Reader a few times.

TURKISH
For the first time since the beginning of the TAC, I spent more time in a single week on a language other than German. I knew that that unexpected gift of Turkish books would fuel a sudden surge in my interest in this language, but that's only one factor. My wife's growing interest in learning some Turkish is also playing a role, as well as the fact that we met a real live Turk this week! Big deal, I hear you Germans saying. Well, this ain't Germany -- finding a Turk living in my out-of-the-way, culturally homogeneous region of the US is a big deal! What's more, his colleague is a native Tajik who speaks near-native Turkish and Russian (I hit the jackpot!).
Speaking with them was remarkably difficult. Agglutinating on the fly is almost as difficult as herding cats, as the old proverb goes. Fine, I made that proverb up. Still, it was hard.
I acquired Assimil's Le Turc sans peine early in the week and spent some time with it, going through the first five lessons. So far I enjoy the approach. I can read French sans peine, so that's not a problem. I wish I had the audio to accompany this, however. In other news, I've completed Lesson 17 of Colloquial Turkish.

WANDERLUST
Spending two hours in one week on Japanese (MT and RTK) sounds like it goes beyond the scope of "wanderlust," but really, that's only an average of 17.something minutes a day. That's not much.
