I like Adrian's idea for recommendations on films and books. Even though it may be a bit difficult since we have various levels in the languages. And I like Jack's idea on writing about it, like the continuings of the story, what we liked etc in the target language. I will need to practice writing a lot more because I want to pass a language certificate at C1 level for my French so I may try to create a resumé from time to time.

I am going to start my TAC log in a few days. I really love being in a team, thank you. I trully believe we will get through whole year together.

Interesting about the LR a book and movies.
I might join if I have enought knowledge in French.

Regarding LR-method.
Anyone have success with reading L1 and listening to L2?
I tried but ended up with reading L1-book first and then listened/reading L2/L2.
I found it uncomfortable to listen to L2 and reading L1.
However I will try again if it is more effective.

Info: 15 jan - 15 feb 2012 I will be abroad with limited or no internet.

I'll probably start my new log about the time the rush of new logs starts appearing.
I'm still having fun collecting new materials and looking for little things I can add
for French and German. I had a brain wave yesterday afternoon and remembered the Latin
Library, so I won't have any shortage of materials to read for Latin once I am ready
for it.

I will also attempt to work out how to put graphs on my log so I can keep track of my
hours in a more visually pleasing way. I found in 2011 that just writing "I've done
three hours of German today" didn't give me half as much satisfaction as it probably
would give me seeing it in a graph form.

I've not really ever used L-R before; this year will be the first time I try it. I'll
probably do quite a lot of reading about it before the challenge starts. I'd find it
uncomfortable listening in L2 and reading in L1, too. Don't let any of that discourage
you. Just keep going - hopefully being in a team will motivate you enough to carry on.

Hey all, is there an open place in the group? My French and German have been sitting inactive for way too long now.

Willkommen an Bord :]

Translation - Hi Crush. It's great to see you here on the forum again. Yes, there's
still a place for you; the more the merrier! :] Will you be concentrating on just
French and German or do you want to focus on other languages as well? I need to know so
I can add your name and your languages to the list of members on the first page.
Welcome aboard!

This brings another question up for consideration - When we write in our target
languages, since, as a requirement, we must *all* here be studying both French and
German for the TAC 2012, should we translate everything we write to each other? I think
after a while that could become a bit tedious and might discourage some of us from
writing in our target languages. Personally although I don't have a problem with
translating everything, in an ideal world I'd rather not. What do we all think?

Jack

Edited for spelling mainly.

On verra comment ca foncionnera.
