Looks like the admin has been in touch with Mr. Fazah. Let us just wait until something can be set up
I understand the skepticism but some of the posts seem a bit hostile even. Most of the questions center about the availability of materials that he had. Although this is a good question I wonder how you all feel about Cardinal Mezzofanti, who is claimed to have spoken almost the same number of languages fluently in an age where there was no TV, DVD, software, tape cassettes, or the internet, and he never left Italy his entire life, and speaking languages like Tonquinese? Can we find material for this even now?
Let us withhold jugdment for now is my advice

I agree. Skepticism is understandable but accusations are inappropriate.
I personally find it inspirational and wonder about the potential of language acquisition. The means to an end. I am sure there are a lot of people that would try out Ziad's methods to see if it will work for them.
This site afterall is a resource with the exchange of ideas, info. and methods to help anyone on how to learn any language.

I do believe that DaveM is sincerley telling the truth, as I can see no other reason for him to go to the trouble of trying to convince us of Mr. Fazah's existence. However, it is hard to ignore some of these questions regarding materials and level of fluency.
arnz has raised an important point in this area, about Mezzofanti. I strongly agree with his advice, and feel that we should all follow it until we have further information.
alang: Sorry if I essentially said the same thing as you. I didn't realize you had posted a reply when I posted this one.

I have myself spoken to him in the following
Chinese Mandarin (learning)
Hindi (I speak it decently and Im learning it still)
Hebrew
Italian
Spanish
Portuguese
English
I have heard him converse in German,Russian and Cantonese. Thats 11 right there. Any middle eastern language is obviously a specialty and he has spoken French his whole life so no doubts there. Thats nearly 17 right there. The rest are on that television tape I am getting.

So, has anyone contacted him yet? I would, but whats the point? I could only test his English.

I would be more than willing to call him, although I would only comfortably be able to test his English. Not to mention the cost of a call to Brazil. Does anyone plan on calling in the near future?

I don't think so. A pity really, after all that it took to get his details.
