There's talk about an advanced ELS team (above C1, but nothing too strict about the actual level) and here's a list the people who have expressed their interest in the group so far either here or on other threads:
Emme
mrwarper
suzukaze
Via Diva
yuhakko
Zireael
I may have missed someone and obviously we're still waiting for others to sign up in the hope that this team will start.

While I'm waiting for feedback about team STARt members (currently I'm sure about 5 ppl, including me), sign me as an observer also to German team and Scandinavian team (or what's going on over there) with Swedish.

I can't be bothered to go back and read this entire thread in detail, so I'm a bit confused as to how teams are being created here. As far as I'm aware, I've only committed myself to a possible Persian/Iranian team, but I'm seeing my name popping up on all sorts of other lists (Mandarin, Croatian, Greek, etc.) too. Are those supposed to be lists of members of various teams, or just individuals studying a particular language? In the case of the latter, never mind, please disregard this. But in the case of the former, I'd prefer to only commit to one team this year, and that team would have to be for Persian...
Thank you! |

The sign-up process seems to be a bit chaotic right now (no wonder with so many people and languages...) and teams are supposing that everyone who listed their language is joining. I think I also saw you name in the Chinese team thread :D It's not that you have committed yourself to join them, it's just that they all want to claim you as a member ;) The problem might be that our team preferences don't show up on the first page of the thread and many people are joining teams for several or all their languages. But it'll all sort itself out soon enough, I think.
By the way, should we open a team thread or wait and see if we get any more members first? I think if it's only us three (Ăˆlan, you, me) a team thread might be a little redundant - we could just post on each others' logs. On the "Persian, Kurdish, Pashto - anyone studying?"-thread it looked like daristani (with Pashto?) and ScottScheule (with Persian and/or Pashto?) might join us as well, we'll have to see how that develops :)

That's great to hear! I probably don't have enough TAC experience to be a team leader/godmother, but I'd be happy to help out in case an Italian team is created :)

In terms of being a godmother, your experience is more than enough :) Team leaders are usually learners rather than godparents.

I would like to join an Italian team, if there is one. 8 persons interested in Italian were mentioned in Kanewai's
list. It is my first TAC though I've been lurking on the forum for almost two years. I'm also studying German
(trying to revive a rusty B2) and Norwegian/ Japanese/Dutch as wanderlust, but I won't be joining a team for
any of them apart from Italian.
