Sounds quite good. But take care of your 'u's, they sound Swedish and almost like 'ü'.

A week of almost no work whatsoever.
Uni will start again next week so I'll try to scrape away my laziness and start pumping
my German and building up my Swedish again.

Worry not, fellow TACers, for I have yet to give up on my struggle.

It's been so damn long I've last posted here and, I am not hiding it, I'm ashamed of
it. I haven't stopped at all in my journey, though, only slowed down a bit... actually,
more than that.

But anyway, I won't use Assimil for a while (mainly due to lack of time: it's taking up
to 1 hour for a lesson, I can't afford that luxury now that holidays are over anymore).
Right now what I'm doing is slowing down on learning new grammar and focusing on more
basic stuff (such as family vocabulary, means of transportation, adjectives, adverbs,
bla bla bla).

I reckon I'll keep doing this for a few months, and then accelerate on May/June.

Don’t worry! That seems a pretty common phenomenon.

Remember that the TAC (and language learning in general) is more like a marathon than a sprint. So it isn’t a problem if you slow down once in a while to catch your breath.

What’s important is that you don’t give up and from what you wrote it’s clear that you have no intention to! So, everything's fine! ;-)

@Emme: "Never gonna let you down [...], never gonna say goodbye [...]".

One quick update before I'm off to lectures:
Swedish: my Swedish is actually becoming stronger than my German somehow. But I
still lack lots of verbs. Right now I'm focusing on these, especially on the "strong"
verbs. I'm focusing on listening, lots of listening, forever listening. That's my
weakest skill right now, I think.

German: German grammar is getting tougher and tougher, but may I be damned if
give up. I'm focusing on verbs (particularly on the ones with prepositions) and words.
I am now able to go through texts (A1-A2) seeing only a couple of unknown words, which
makes me understand them without having to look for the words on my Wörterbuch.

For both languages, since I don't get many chances of speaking, I'm translating from L2
to L1 and a few days afterwards from L1 back to L2 again.

I recorded myself reading a German text, I am working on my "light-ch" sounds right
now, which still sound too much like "sch". I've still got plenty of work to do.

I’m not really surprised! German has a steep learning curve, much harder than Swedish. When you hit the cases and all the declensions for articles, substantives and adjectives and the conjugations of the different tenses of German verbs you’re certainly dealing with a more complex system than the Swedish one. But hang in there: you can tame the German beast!

"Maggio, studente fatti coraggio"

I've finally found a couple of minutes to update this god-forsaken log.

I've been keeping on studying the two languages quite regularly but unfortunately I
couldn't excercise speaking as much as I wanted to so far. I hope it'll be better after
july when my exams are over.

I have a swedish written exam on monday, and a German written exam on wednesday. The
swedish one is an A2. The German one goes a bit beyond that, around B1. That will be
the time to see if the harvest of what I've sown throughout these last 8 months will be
fruitful.

Again, I'm really disappointed with myself for the fact that I didn't practice speaking
as much as I wanted to. I'll try to manage my time better once things will get at a
more human pace.

P.S.: Forgive any mistakes in writing this update. It's late and I'm tirde :) luv ya.
