Are there any masochists out there considering doing two languages this 'month,' and approach each with different methods?

Hmm. I was thinking of spending more than the 30 alloted minutes a day because at first I thought I would rather learn it than limit myself, but I have decided I will spend the 30 min a day limit for 6 weeks then study at whatever rate.
That way I can rate my method fairly and accurately next to the others, especially since there are 4 others as of now that are doing Esperanto as well.
So if anyone else thinks they wanna go at their own pace and forget the 30 min limit just do it for the 6 weeks so we can have valid data and then go on how you want.

I consider giving Spanish a try. There's certainly enough material out there.

I am a masochist ,because the method I am going to use will be a bit different, inferior because of the time limit and lack of resources. But it should still work.
I cut down a bit of my German studies since I can already understand most of what I read and see on TV.
By the way ,I started yesterday, just couldn't help myself.

Persian. I'm already sure that Mandarin is problematic for me [I have a lot of difficulty with the sounds, including hearing them correctly - the only other language I've tried to look at that I've had this problem in is Korean; in, say, Basque, I can identify them clearly at least, even if imitation doesn't come quickly, and with Japanese, I could tell Kyoto and Tokyo accents apart after a few hours of online radio, and none of the sounds were particularly problematic].
Plus, there's a Persian group shaping up, and no Mandarin one.
Thanks for the Dutch and Esperanto links!

Go ahead and put me down for Welsh. Perhaps MeshGearFox or others will join me...
[My earlier suggestion about highlighting words and grammar from articles or literature BEFORE starting was not meant to suggest a test for everyone studying the same language to take, but rather a self-assessment to help us better report our progress after we finish. I cannot think of a single Welsh vocabulary item or grammar point, so I will truly be starting from scratch. Perhaps in 6 weeks I will at least be able to identify the verb in the sentence!]
