How I became fluent in Spanish 4 MONTHS | ||

Hi, I am a recent reader of this forum..1 month..I am not an expert and used no method..Here is how it happened.
1. Motivated by something- I have always be motivated by women since I was in school. I could not even sit in a class unless a pretty girl was in it(I am not kidding)I was horrible and failed every language class or dropped the class. I afterwards really loved Latina girls ..my friends were all Latinos but never spoke Spanish. I started watching Spanish tv..I understood nothing i read Spanish newspapers and understood nothing. When I went to clubs i would meet beautiful Spanish girls but could not speak the language though many still went out with me.. How did i learn? I started mixing in the little Spanish words I knew with all my English sentences..even to those who DID NOT SPEAK OR UNDERSTAND Spanish!! HERE IS A KEY..I SPOKE THIS 95% English AND 5% Spanish TO PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTOOD Spanish OR NOT..I SPOKE IT TO EVERYONE. My English friend said what are you doing?..my Spanish friends laughed at me.. DO NOT JUST WATCH TV OR MOVIES..YOU MUST HANG ON EVERY WORD BECAUSE YOU LOVE THE FILM!! KEY TO TELEVISION: I WATCHED WITHOUT "TRYING" TO UNDERSTAND..JUST LISTENING AND ENJOYING..DO YOU LIKE HORROR MOVIES?...WATCH Spanish HORROR..LIKE COMEDY..WATCH Spanish COMEDY..I LISTENED TO RICKY MARTIN..etc the inside of the cd's also had the Spanish words..THE MOVIES MUST BE SOOOO!! HOT!!FUNNY!!SCARY!! THAT YOU ARE DRAGGED IN WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING A WORD!! KEY TO READING : DO NOT TRY TO UNDERSTAND EVERY WORD..PLAY WITH THE WORDS..I WAS CLUBBING EVERY WEEKEND A USING LITTLE Spanish WORDS in my English conversations WITH EVERY GIRL I MET. EXAMPLE " I HAVE A REALLY NICE CASA" TH BIG DAY ..I WAS WATCHING A 10 PART Spanish SERIES..AND I AM UNDERSTANDING EVERY WORD!!AFTER THE 1ST HALF HOUR I AM A LITTLE SCARED..I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. I WATCH THE WHOLE SHOW AND UNDERSTOOD IT ALL..WITHOUT TRYING..I WAS NOT TRYING TO UNDERSTAND!! THE SCIENTIFIC WAY THIS WORKS : THE BRAIN IS A LAZY GENIUS..YOU TELL IT YOU WANT TO LEARN A NEW LANGUAGE AND IT SAYS WHATS WRONG WITH English?.SCIENCE HAS DISCOVERED THE THE MIND CONTROLS THE BRAIN..THIS WORKED BECAUSE I FED THE BRAIN Spanish EVEN THOUGH THE BRAIN DID NOT WANT IT. THE BRAIN IS LAZY BUT A GENIUS..SCIENCE SHOWS THAT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE EVER LEARNED OR HEARD IS RECORDED BY THE BRAIN..I FED THE BRAIN Spanish MUSIC ..MOVIES..AND READINGS BUT WITHOUT TRYING TO LEARN THE LANGUAGE.. KEY: LOVE BASEBALL WATCH IT IN Spanish..PORN..WATCH IT IN Spanish.. KEY:THE BRAIN HAS TO ENJOY THE MOVIES OR READINGS!! TO HEAR A SEXY GIRL SAY "ESTOY CALIENTE" YOU WILL REMEMBER THAT WORD! KEY: I LISTENED TO THE MOVIES..NEWS..TV..READINGS..WITHOUT TRYING TO UNDERSTAND EXAMPLE: ONE OF THE MOVIES WAS VERY..VERY SEXY..I HUNG ON EVERY WORD!!..EACH WORD WAS SO HOT!! I DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE WORDS BUT MY BRAIN WAS RECORDING IT!! AND I NEVER FORGOT IT..I STARTED THROWING MORE AND MORE Spanish WORDS IN ALL MY CONVERSATIONS.. WHAT DO IT MEAN FLUENT? I CAN UNDERSTAND AND SPEAK Spanish EASILY WITH ANYONE ..ANYTIME WITH EVEN THINKING ABOUT IT...I CAN READ ANY MAGAZINE IN Spanish NEVER USED ANY PHRASE BOOKS..NEVER HEARD OF PIMLEUER OR ROSTTEA STONE UNTIL I CAME TO THIS FORUM..I COULD SPEAK Spanish WITH ANYONE IN ABOUT 4-5 MONTHS MY MOTIVATION WAS THE HOT GIRLS AT THE CLUB AND IT WORKED FOR ME.HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEONE 6 persons have voted this message useful | |||

KEY YOU MUST BE SO INTERESTED IN THE MOVIE..TV..FILMS..ARTICLES..THAT YOU ARE DRIPPING TO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE SAYING..DO NOT JUST WATCH A MOVIE..HANG ON EVERY WORD FROM INTEREST. MOVIES THAT I WAS NOT INTERESTED IN I WOULD RETURN WITHOUT EVEN FINISHING IT

1. Caps lock is the equivalent to shouting on the internet, you don't need to yell.
2. I don't think your method would work. Maybe it did for you, but it doesn't seem viable to me. Sure, watching TV shows and reading magazines and all that jazz is good, but that should be what you're supplementing your actual language study with. 12 persons have voted this message useful | |||

Hi..l really like this forum and I think it is great..I do not have a method but it did work for me..Sorry for the capitalization on the letters.. I did not only watch the movies I absorbed them..Also I watched the same movies usually 5 times in a week the first 2 times with subtitles them I never used the subtitles again. I mean getting so into the story that you are listening so deeply but not thinking of language learning.
When I was a kid in the 80's there was no cable ..we would watch the same old Batman..Gilligans island..threes company shows a million times over my dad would say you know every line but we were glued 12 inches from the screen hanging on every word. This is what i did with Spanish..the same movie many times..in a week.. A very important part also for me was the speaking which I did publicly from day one..the girls thought it was cute at the clubs so i keep adding new words.."Do you want something to drink was one of my first mastered lines..after do you want to dance. I spoke Spanish and English all day long..even to thoses who did not speak Spanish ..adding ne words everyday..I think the speaking was a big plus..i never waited to speak..just starting with a few words..i had to break the ice and the English Spanish mix worked good for me and removed the nerves ..my friends mom(who is latina) does this all the time Example "You guy had better sacar la busura".. One day the big break comes and you start understanding..without thinking about it.. Some times I would get scared because after the big break through I thought i was home free..then i would listen to a Spanish conversation and understand nothing!..i discovered that this is normal..it happened alot in the begining..i could understand much then nothing..but then this blank goes away and i undestood it all. I think it is the brain rebeling a little at the new language but then it comes back stronger..it happened alot in the first few months then it did not happen anymore.. Enhorabuena! Aunque sería bueno que demostraras tus nuevas habilidades de hablar en español, por aquello de los escépticos, porque es demasiado común que en estos foro aparezca gente de vez en cuando profesando una nueva formula mágica para aprender idiomas sin realmente conocer el idioma, o a veces incluso sin darse cuenta que, aunque creían saberlo, su habilidad en el idioma es casi inexistente.
En todo caso, si has logrado realmente alcanzar fluidéz en el español en tan corto tiempo, te lo aseguro, no eres nada menos que un genio. 4 persons have voted this message useful | |||

I like the posts - they are funny and have some good stuff in them. I think an English speaker learning to converse
with girls in a club in Spanish in 4 month using this method is very achievable. My favorite part was the quote about the false breakthrough being a predecessor to a real breakthrough. Spoken like someone who really went after conversation from the beginning. Well done!

Actually, being fluent in Spanish in 4 or 5 months is not really that big of a deal if you study constantly, immerse, and have a good linguistic ability. Im sorry but i dont believe you are fluent..ive been studying for maybe 2 years solid and im still a novice or at least i think i am..sorry matey but im not buying your genius..
