Instead of reading like normal, I spent about an hour checking vocab from the last week that I hadn't looked up. I have a notebook by me when I read, and I just write down words I don't know. It's not intrusive enough to slow me down much, and I think in the long run, it will definitely pay off. But I had about 5-6 pages of ~75 words each that I had to put into Google translate and write down definitions. Holy cow, who knew there were so many words in a language! LOL After I did that for awhile, I put the first few pages of my new book into Linq and worked on that for a bit, although I ended up being interrupted by a sick kid, which was just lovely. I am going to change it anyways, to at least an hour of Spanish, and will be primarily reading, but will also be studying the vocab I come across. Part of this is because of the massive amount of vocab I'm trying to learn as I come across it (50-75 words a day). Even though a lot of it I know passively or can figure out from context, I want to activate it as well. In addition, a lot of the books I want to read are on my Kindle, and it's a lot harder to keep track of pages. It's easy enough to look up how many pages are in the book (on Amazon, for example) for the Super Challenge tally, but on a daily basis, it would be a pain to try to figure it out. Tuesday will probably be an off-day, though, because it is election day and I'm really distracted by it. I can't wait til it's over. If it's over early enough, I might still be able to get some my studying in. =) 1 person has voted this message useful
