I am signed up for Russian, but it is not really my primary focus right now. I'm focusing strongly on my Spanish for the Super Challenge. I've got five more movies to go, and then lots of reading. Once I get the movies done, though, I'll be doing Russian for at least 45m or an hour a day.

My daughter (the one I'm racing against to finish the Harry Potter books) was home from school today and will be again tomorrow. (Yay, croup!) So she's got a lot more reading time and I will have a lot more to catch up on. haha

I decided to use the Russian Without Toil from the 50s instead of the newer version. I wish I could find a copy of the 70s version, but I haven't found that anywhere. I think the Without Toil will take me a lot further than the Russian (for English speakers). It will take me longer, but I'm okay with that. :)

Здравствуйте, космонавты!

How is everybody doing? Any progress? I'm doing quite well at the moment. Still working on Colloquial Russian, but also diving into my first native materials.

When will the next Skype session take place?

I have had like no energy to organise anything, but the next Skype session will be an
evening one. I suggest that if everybody is okay with next week, 20:00 Amsterdam time,
that should suffice.

Don't forget to add "jornvanschaik" if you are new to this because I will make the call.

I probably won't be able to attend it, but I'm glad it will happen!

I am abroad now, but I will be back in Norway by 3 In the morning on Sunday, so I should be functional
again by 8 in the evening. Is this one of the sessions where the newbies are particularly asked to join? If it
is they should perhaps bring along their Assimil books, if they have one, so that they could read a piece
from wherever they are. If they want to :-) Otherwise we can just do presentations and a general
conversation in English or whichever language we want to use for a while.

It's free for everyone to join :) And I suggest we have some conversation in Russian at
some point, haha, for everyone who wants to take part ;)
