Today babbel introduced me to the plurals that since now I thought wast just something that needs to be studied
along with the singular like the gender.

False, apparently there are rules (and I expected of course to find exceptions, lot of them):
- most common case: word + en
- words ending with unstressed -er, -el: word + s
- words ending with a, i, o (and u?): word + 's.
But this third case doesn't convince me.
Ok, kiwi -> kiwi's, mango -> mango's, foto -> foto's.
Cool. But ui -> uien, ei -> eiren, exceptions? Or the rule is explained only superficially?

I'm proceeding well with Dutch.
When I will finish to go through babbel and duolingo lessons will be interesting to read again "De alchemist" to see
how much more i am able to understand.
I also subscribed to the 6 week challenge with Dutch, this time I want to go through it completely with a good
amount of hours (Not less than 35, but I aim to 40).

Dammit, I already finished the courses available for Dutch in Babbel.
I need to find another resource to do together with duolingo now.

I had a blackout of 4 days (study, not electricity).
Meanwhile, the book I ordered (Le néerlandais débutant) is arrived. Since Duolingo demanded me to mantain some
skill, I spent the entire hour for Duolingo (and I didn't finish yet! I will continue tomorrow).

A quick note on Babbel. I subscribed to a full year of Dutch, ignoring that once finished the courses I was not able to
simply switch language (I wanted to use it to keep French refreshed with the intermediate courses). I enjoyed using
this software, but I went through the two beginner courses in only 13 days, probably also because I am a false
beginner. Now, duolingo has a 20 days clause, if you ask to cancel your order within the first 20 days, you have the
order cancelled and the money back. I contacted them to explain the issue I had (even if it was my own fault) and
they were very kind to cancel my order and confirming the refund.

For what is about the software, I think I will use it again with short subscriptions (1-3 months maximum per
language) in my very first phase of language learning with an additional resource (duolingo, teach yourself, ecc). I
found their method effective to bootstrap a language and it completes duolingo nicely.

Today I felt serious boredom while studying with Duolingo.
The most annoying feature is failing tests because my English is not so good and because I'm distracted and I do
typos.
The second most annoying feature is that I'm not allowed to skip anything, even if I basically don't give a ${badword}
about, for example, the health competence. I'm not really interested to know that the world for surgeon is arts
(although for Google Translate is chirurg, that has much more sense for me), because I didn't even know that it was
called surgeon in English and I was still living happy :D
But here it's my fault. I decided to strengthen this competence even if I'm not that enthusiast about it, so I should
blame myself for that.

So I stopped after only 25 minutes.

Talking about good things, my comprehension for oral and written Dutch is increasing and I can feel it.

This evening I had my first conversation in Dutch ever, via Skype. (yes, I decided not to wait the 2016 to start
speaking at last)
I was really nervous but I managed to have a conversation for 45 minutes and I discovered that I actually know much
more Dutch than what I thought.
A huge boost of self-trust!
Meanwhile the count of the time spent studying Dutch in the 6 week challenge is 25h. Being honest, the time spent
studying inefficiently this language is not a lot more than the double.
It's crazy if I think that I did the crybaby more and more times with a ridicolously low amount of studying hours.
Good lesson for the future (other than the present)!
I'm feeling good :)

way to go , speaking at an early stage can for sure do no harm , quite the opposite you can bring together
input and interaction with natives , a very powerful mix indeed like many successful polyglots say .
