I'm in!
I'll definitely be making a new thread. I agree with you, Cristina, I feel creating a new thread marks a 'new start.' It's
like the first, crisp page in a new notebook, or the first day of school.

I'm happy to be on-board with you guys, and ready to break out a brand new set of coloured felt-tip pens (and get it all over myself and the surrounding furniture) for the next TAC!
I quite liked the A-Team idea for 2013, but with 10 members already signed up and the membership growing, we're going to quickly run out of characters for everyone (unless of course we have tag-teams of several B.A. Baracases and Murdocs running around).
Following tarvos' proposal to think of a Russian name for our team together, I'd like to kick things off with a couple of suggestions. With the Trans-Siberian Express and Cristina's background in mind, as well as a genuine love of older more innocent times in Soviet children's cartoons, perhaps we could call our team "Голубой вагон" (Blue Wagon) or "Team Cheburashka".

Здравствуйте!
I'm also very happy to be a member of the Russian team and I'm looking forward to learning Russian (and maybe some other languages) together! I'll probably keep my log and simply rename it "TAC 2013 Russian and Icelandic Log".
I quite like Teango's ideas for a team name. "Team Голубой вагон" and "Team Cheburashka" both sound very good, but I think "Cheburashka" sounds a notch better.
See you soon. Давайте выучим русский вместе!

Så vad är det som har hänt där i Stockholm?
(I was referring to the four-day traffic jam between Moskie and Saint Petes)

I feel like I am a novice compared to you guys. I know pretty much nothing in the Russian
languages right now.

Well then you are exactly where the rest of us started out :-) What you can bring to the group is enthusiasm.
As a beginner you are like someone who just converted to a new religion, and there is no one as eager as
them :-)
Tell us about your achievements and your frustrations. We will probably go down memory lane with the first,
and smile in rememberance at the latter.
