Here's the thread for the TAC Polish study team!
So far, we have:
Meramarina, Amerykanka, Vos, Chung, WentworthsGal, Mooby, Homogenik
and others are very welcome to join. What should we use for a name?
(I was looking for a way to say "annoying one's deceased ancestors by learning the language they didn't want you to know" but perhaps that's not such a good idea!)
Update: As of January 8, here we are:
THE BISON
Amerykanka
Vos
Mooby
WentworthsGal
Homogenik
Chung
Meramarina

The first post by ellasevia in the TAC 2012, should explain most everything. I haven't participated in the TAC before, although I've kept my own log. It should be motivating!

Ok, sign me up :o) do I need to sign up on the main thread too?? Do I need to set up a log to chart my progress?
My current level: Just above beginner with no knowledge.
My aim for next year, 2012:
To be able to say basic sentences in the past, present and future for all persons (I, you, we etc).
To know a good handfull of nouns, adjectives, prepositions and verbs
To have completed the Pimsleur course.
To have worked through the whole Hugo in 3 Months book.
To be able to read a novel aimed at young people and understand about 50% or to at least get the gist of it.
Good luck to everyone who joins :o)

I'd like to join too (just pm'd).
As for our name....hmmm...
> 'White Eagles'? (national emblem)
> 'The Red and Whites'? (national colours)
> 'Kicking through dry leaves'? (how it sounds!)
I give up, there's got to be better ideas :)

Thanks for joining WentworthsGal and Mooby! I just added your names to the first post here and will make a note of the team's updated status in the main TAC thread.

- Team "Reksio" [after the Polish cartoon character]
- Team "Żubr" ('European Bison') / Team "Żubry" ('Bisons') [European Bisons are now confined to a forest that straddles northeastern Poland and northwestern Belorussia]
- Team "Kolejorz" ['Railwayman' in Poznanian slang but now synonymous with Lech Poznań because of the team's association with the national railway company]) / Team 'Kolejorze' [Railwaymen] (this name came to mind only because I have a few friends from Poznań or who now live in or near the city).
