It's a whole lot better to record the audio in a oner, as then you avoid problems with level matching, differences in background noise etc etc etc. You also allow for rewrites if something important pops up later.

Things are stressful here but I will post new dialogs here within the next few days. Meanwhile, please complete the ones we have so far - native speakers can e. g. add notes or pronunciation, English speakers can add literal translations or notes...
You can post your work in this thread if you're uncomfortable working with the wiki. Somebody else will add it to the wiki then. Just look at the wiki before starting to work to see what works needs to be done and what is already finished. Uighur, awesome! This is what I was hoping the project would do: provide materials not just for commonly-studied languages, for which the real Assimil may be available (if not in English) but also the others! Can anyone majoring in Linguistics with a subdiscipline in language acquisition comment on the constructing of language programs, either in Assimil-type programs or traditional texts? Could one potentially take various types of language programs(Assimil, FSI, Linguaphone...etc) and systematically measure their effectiveness, and subsequently publish the results in the Modern Language Journal?
---------------- How effective or worthwhile would it be to scour all the words used by Fritz Lang, or any silent film director/writer in the targeted language, and construct lessons using the characters and vocab used in the movies? The benefit here would be that after completing the lessons, one could watch the silent movies in its native language.
