No, www.coop-breizh.fr. I haven't touched Breton much either since I completed the
Assimil, so buying this is my way of ensuring I won't lose the rudimentary Breton I have.

Ah, c'est pour enrichir ma vocabulaire!

Sadly, no, it didn't, but I might have to get it. Just to be able to curse without a soul
understanding. "May you have donkey typhoid" in Breton, hahahaha...

Madainn mhath and Dia dhaoibh!

This is to inform everybody that I have started my second Celtic language. Besides Scottish Gaelic, I'm also studying Irish now.

I hope I won't mix up the two languages, but I don't want to decide in favour of one yet. So, I will try how studying two closely related languages works out. So far, the sound of Irish sounds even better to me than the one of Gaelic, but I would nevertheless like to finish my Gaelic textbook. I'll keep you updated about my progress in my log.

Slàn leibh and slán libh!

Dia daoibh!
In case you've wondered if I'd disappeared, I've participated in a week-long course at Oideas Gael in Glencolmcille, Co. Donegal. I'll write more about it in my TAC log, when I've recovered from lack of sleep ...

I hope Donegal treated you well, Jeff! As I've written in my log, I've cut back on time
spent studying Gaelic in favor of some Irish reading. However, I'm seriously thinking
about starting Welsh in the near future, why wait when I've plenty of time on my hands?
;)

Oh yes, indeed it did! Guess what - I've applied for a Welsh course as well as the Irish one they offer at Uppsala University.

Gwych! (Great!) Croeso i'r Gymraeg, y ddau ohonoch chi! (Welcome to Welsh, both of
you!)

If your goal is to develop good speaking and listening skills, I strongly (strongly)
recommend the www.saysomethinginwelsh.com downloadable all-audio course. First course
of almost 20 hours is free, second and third courses after that are cheap (monthly
subscription of a few pounds), busy web forum for discussion and connecting with
meetups with other Welsh learners worldwide. Works like you wouldn't believe.

It's amazing how a language and the culture it brings you can take over your life. It's
only been four years, but I have a hard time imagining my life without Welsh now.

Edited to add: I've been learning Spanish for about six months now. I'm finding it both
easier than Welsh (because very similar in structure and vocab to English), and much
harder than Welsh (because Welsh has few irregular verbs and has tricks you can use to
be able to express a lot of tenses without knowing more than a handful of
conjugations).
