They are correct, but stylistically bad. At least you shouldn't use them in writing. I think that's what I meant to say.

In this particular example I tend to agree about the comment on stylistics, but not in
general. Often extrapositions are the better stylistic option even in writing, like the extraposition of heavy subclauses, especially relative clauses. But then one could argue against the use of heavy constructs altogether of course. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

How is the notion of "future in the past" expressed in German? I wanted to write the following
message. I just don't know how to handle the tenses/forms/etc. Gestern Abend hat mich meine Freundin angerufen, die gerade in Deutschland ist. Wir haben circa eine Stunde lang gequatscht, als die reflektiert hat, dass ihre Mutter sie töten wird (wurde/würde?) , wenn sie entdeckt (wurde/würde?), dass ihre Tochter stundenlang mit jemandem gesprochen hat, als sie im Ausland war. 1 person has voted this message useful | |

Depends on what exactly you want to say. The selection of tenses would subtly change
the meaning. Can you formulate it in direct speech, ie. "sie hat gesagt: ..."? Then you can apply some rules to get to indirect speech. Prescriptively speaking, indirect speech would require a form of Konjunktiv, either Konjunktiv I or Konjunktiv II depending on what she actually said and if Konjunktiv I is applicable (if it has the same form as present tense, you don't use it).
