The 200 minutes of war are over ... had to split it into 3 sessions. Interesting as
always, more please.

muca ... I see a connection to Muzi (=kitty, at least in my dialect ... but not
necessarily in the narrowest sense, it can be a grown up cat, just diminutive)
I don't yet see how mačka fits into the picture, why is there a vowel change?
Oh.. and muc = tomcat
and then there also is mucka as a diminutive, which probably is used for kittens

soo...
mačka must be the kind of animal
muc the male version
muca the female version
mucka the baby

edit:
ok, so there is also maček for male cat
What, if you want to talk about cats irrespective of the gender? mačko then?

always glad to find patterns I already know
Quote:

Ti si moja čokolada
Sladka marmelada
Ti si moj bombon

Ti si moja čokolada
Sladka marmelada
Vedno tvoja bom

Your are my chocolate
sweet marmalade
you are my bonbon (there seem to be 2 spelling variants of this word)

You are my chocolate
sweet marmalade
always yours I will be

If I got the last line right, then in Slovene, you can use the possessive pronoun on
its own, ie. without a noun to determine. Interesting though is the feminine form of
the pronoun (the singer is a girl), so the gender of the logically determined noun "I"
seems to be used.

Funny that journalists comment on this, it's social media, good morning...

Like a lot of L2 learners, I tend to get very grumpy about things like this myself- I
spent all that effort learning to capitalize nouns and now you don't have to just
because it's facebook? But as a journalist, that's about as petty as you can get.

Finished Pimsleur I for French. Took a bit longer than expected (I'm lazy). Not sure if I
can be bothered to continue with the 2nd course.
I would like to have a course like that for Slovene though. I tried Croatian, but it's
just not the same.

Back to flying Slovenes...

leti, leti snežna kepa
pazi kepa, punca lepa

Es fliegt, es fliegt ein Schneeball (Schnee-iger Klumpen)
pass auf, ein (Schnee-)Ball, schönes Mädchen

No sure why there is no comma between pazi and kepa, but kepa doesn't seem to be
accusative here (even though it would have the same form for feminina if I remember
correctly)
