COMMENTS: I just saw this recently and I was thinking of joining in. Can I join? :D
Actually, I'm already kind of doing something similar in where I'm challenging myself to
read 50 books in Spanish. I didn't give myself a time limit though but I could probably
use one. And I really need to watch more tv/films/etc. in Spanish. I don’t know if I’ll
get 100 books done but I’m sure I can watch 100 films in 20 months. :)

I apologize for hijacking the thread, but how do you do that? I can't seem to be logged in on two machines at once. If I log in on my tablet, my desktop gets logged out and vice-versa.

I've not done anything special. For example this machine I'm on now has several htlal sessions open and all seem to be active in different threads. The 'work' machine has a background session which seems to be still active. One of the tablets is charging but the other and both smart phones are logged in and seem to be active.
I haven't checked the Linux machine upstairs yet or the TV .... when I have a few minutes I'll check them all out. I wonder if the site is set to allow only one login at a time?

Oops I posted my update in the wrong thread:

First film': Crustacés et coquillages (Cockles and Muscles in English - the pun was intended!). Almost a French farce. I read the reviews in French too.
It was broadcast with subtitles and I am not sure I can turn them off!
I was surprised, nay shocked, when I checked how much non-English TV I have recorded.

Reading: 20 pages of Le Petit Prince. It's only about a hundred pages and lots of pictures so I might count it as half a book, but should finish it by weekend.
Film002: 01/05/12: Baise Moi: Yuk; very very adult not something for lunchtime !
Film001: 01/05/12: Crustacés et coquillages; Amusing and I think I like Beatrix

1st May:
1. Film: InuYasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time (100 min)
Comment:
I really like the anime about this little hanyou. I had seen the movie before in German several times as well as more then once in Japanese with subtitles before (that is also true for the whole serie), as well as helping with the subtitles (editing) and booklets for the InuYasha-DVDs. So I know the story pretty well, even I hadn't watch it for more than a year until yesterday. Yesterday I watched it in German as preparation. Because of the knowledge of the story, I chose InuYasha for the beginning, but I decided to watch it without subtitles.
Well, even with knowing the story, I felt lost during the movie. I didn't understand much of what they were talking. However, I paid more attention to the speaking because of no subtitles. And I was able to understand a little bit, mostly just simple words but also some easy short phrases. For myself, I think to watch without subtitles will be best for me, because then I don't get distracted from them and concentrate fully on the talking. Therefore I will try to watch the 50 movies without subtitles. I might watch them before in German or with subtitle, but will only count the ones watched without subtitles.

UPDATE
FILMS
1. Robin Hood (May 1st)
2. The Jungle Book (May 1st)
CONVERSATION
1. Conversation on presenting myself and my family - May 1st(topic which will probably be repeated ad nauseam in the months to come, since it is one of the few where I have the vocabulary, if not the grammar)
2. Conversation on what you see while walking in the woods, and my trip to France tomorrow May 1st.
(or actually it was more like 23min + 14 + ... but for the sake of simplicity I added it up). I spent 7 hours with my Russian friend Irina, and even though I am very happy to get the conversation practise, and she is a lovely person, I feel I could have spent the time studying so much more Russian if I had been on my own. I am hoping that it will be worth it in the end though. I help her massively with her Norwegian now, and hopefully she can help me more with Russian later.
