Flic 6: La cage aux folles. This was a great film for language learning. The
dialogue is clever, but not rapid-fire, so it's easy to appreciate the wit. I watched
the best scenes twice: once with French and once with English subtitles. This was the
first movie of the challenge where I did this; it's easier to rewind and re-watch
comedies than dramas.
The movie itself has two great leads, but the supporting characters range from the one-
dimensional to the outright insipid. It's definitely a mixed bag.
Next up: De battre mon coeur s'est arrêté (The Beat My Heart Skipped). It's back
to the dramas for me - I can't find many modern French comedies on Netflix.

Since I haven't posted updates in this specific thread....movies in Mandarin;
1x Eat, Drink, Man, Woman
2x LOTR - The Fellowship of the Rings
1x LOTR - The Two Towers
2x Get Smart
2x Jumanji
3x The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
1x The Devil Wears Prada
The reading is going extremely slow.

I am sorry that I have not yet had time to write the periodical update of how people are doing in the Super Challenge, it is just that between 3 birthday parties (I am turning 50 today), a visitor from overseas, a husband who has been away most of the time for the last three weeks and being alone at my office right now, doing 3 people's job, I am just a tad overwhelmed. I'll try to write the update this week end :-)

@Solfrid Cristin
С днем рождения, Кристина! With all the hustle and bustle over the last month, it sounds like you could well do with an indulgent and relaxing getaway (spa breaks are the best). Of course, the resort could be located in any of several countries of your choice, so you could still get in some bonus language immersion along the way. ;)

Thanks Teango! A spa break sounds lovely. I'll have to give some serious thoughts to that :-)

UPDATE
Film:
1. Film: InuYasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time (100 min) (1st May)
2. InuYasha, episodes 1 - 4 (95 min) (5th May 2012)
3. InuYasha, episodes 5 - 8 (95 min) (7th May 2012)
4. InuYasha, episodes 9 - 12 (95 min) (19th May 2012)
New:
5. Faust (play) (ca 150 min) (25th May 2012)
Well, my intention for this evening was to spend some time reading. But when I joined my chat-room, a friend told me to turn on Keyhole-TV. I did. They broadcasted Faust as a theater play. And then, instead of reading, I watched the play until the end. I like Faust and have read it and seen it in different varation in German. It was interesting to watch it in Japanese and their adaption of it. I did not understand much of it, my Japanese is unfortunately not good enough for such difficult drama. I catched some phrases or words, toward the end of it even more then at the beginning. Hm, I would like to watch it again at the end of the 20 months.
@ Solfrid Cristin
Happy Birthday
Sorry I am late. I hope you had a wonderful day.
