I would have to say it would be German and Russian. I am just absolutely in love with
those two. I just find them so beautiful and other words, that I just cannot describe my
love for them.

I had a soft spot for Scandinavian cultures when I was a teen for no special reason. These last years those languages and my wish to learn them have grown in me again when I watched some Swedish movies, I felt haunted by the sound of the language. I recently watched a Norwegian one, and I happened to like it even more! It sounded similar but even softer, just my impression...Hope to have the time and the chance to get started with them in a couple of years maximum, I'd really love to!

Mostly dead and classical languages. For instance Classical Greek, a little less
Sanskrit, then Latin and Classical Chinese.

idea what was said - but it was one of the most beautiful moments of my life. What, really, can beat sitting on a
reindeer skin round a fire in a lavoo in northern Norway?

And as for the language that lies close to my heart: Swedish, while it reminds me of the beautiful country where it
is spoken and sounds so fantastic =) But Welsh is pretty close too.

For me, I didn't literally learn English because I'd found it interesting.

But the more I learn it, the more I love it. I especially like learning English idioms. Once in a while, I'd feel very happy to come across an interesting idiom.

I figure I do love English.

Korean and Thai *_* Whenever I hear them, I have this urge to go and study.
Vietnamese has been calling me lately. I'll probably start it soon XD

When I was in my teens I just couldn't resist learning Swedish. The language attracted me so much that I even took two semesters of Swedish at university. Recently, the same happened to me with Scottish Gaelic and Icelandic. I just had to study those languages regardless of the level of proficiency I actually reached in them - which isn't very much by now. But I couldn't live knowing about those beautiful languages without studying them.
