Yeah, "nejen pro samouky" seems to be a nice series. Initially I've thought that it's just a translation of "Teach Yourself", but it looks like a seperate series.

Good luck, anyway :]

It is a totally separate series. I dare say most of their courses are better than either Teach Yourself or Colloquial even though there are a few black sheep as well.

Thanks for your encouragement, Suzie, I'm trying. I hope to finally have as much time as I want to put in my languages soon. And my next log will be named the Drunk Snail :-D I'm flattered I made you laugh :-)

Nothing new to add but that will change soon.

Good news, everyone!!!!!

I passed my nightmare exam!!! It was an adventure. And it is finished!!!

So, I can now admit those other 9 episodes of Eureka watched during the last week or so :-D +4,5 movies (and finished season 4)

I am going to celebrate, read, relax and study my languages for two weeks or so.

ASC French books Chattam: Le Coeur de la Terre +4,6

ASC Count:
English books unchanged
French books 33,9/200
French movies 67/200

I know it is not much but a lot has changed in my life recently. We broke up (more precisely my boyfried broke up with me) after several years and even some time of living together so I've been spending time mostly with friends and family during the last week or so. And I am moving again, so everything is in chaos. I hate moving. I dream of living for years on one place, in one home where everything would be at hand.

Other than that:
1.A friend is going to learn German with me and we'll be trying the B1 exam next spring. It will be more like supporting each other, having some speaking practice etc than studying together most of the time. I am very curious about it. She is much better than I am right now, so I am very motivated not to slow her down.
2.I am preparing myself for a C1 exam in French, not sure whether DALF or the national one. I don't know when I will be ready but I took a few steps forward. After all, I have too much free time now.
3. I consider giving up on the English translation C2 exam I hoped to sit. Due to bureaucracy, I would have to pass national C1 exam first. The C1 language wouldn't be that much of a trouble per se (after all, I got a CAE). But it is expensive, it is prolonging the whole process by half a year. It is focused on the knowledge about the anglophone countries and from what I've seen, it is tailored to people studying economy, sociology and humanities. So, I need to reconsider my chances, my schedule and my budget.

My learning plans for today and next week: Some active studying and finishing a book or two.

other than that: packing things, including language books (they take quite a lot of space :-) ) and planning how to put it all into the new and tiny but beautiful appartment.

reading in the nights, a few more books are nearing ending.

ASC French movies: 4 episodes of Eureka = +2

By the way, I got somewhere ideas for several original French crime series worth watching :-) I'm looking forward to them.
