Finished ASC English movie part!!! Yes! Two episodes (I needed only one for the count though) of Grimm were a good final. Now I need to continue with reading books.

For French ASC, I have found a dubbed American series called Eureka. I'll start watching on Wednesday. And Fringe, another dubbed one (when I find my external DVD player :-( )

Congratulations on finishing the movie part of ASC in English with months to spare!

I’m trying to do just one SuperChallenge (in German), and I’m horribly behind schedule so I can appreciate what kind of perseverance it took to reach this goal so early!

Keep up the fantastic work!

Congratulations on Super Challenge progress!

Me too I 've watched "The Taming of the Shrew" (in Italian, German and Spanish) and I like it. I could also
recommend "Marchand de Venise", the French version of "The Merchant of Venice".

Sorry about a late reply (the forums logged me off when I was writing it for the first time)

Thanks a lot for your encouragement! I am going to use the "spare months" to finish as much as I can of my huuuuge SC load (next time, I'll take much less on my plate :-D).

Thanks for the tip, I'll look for the movie.

Congratulations, Cavesa! That's quite an achievement!

And I can confirm that Fringe is a very good choice, as is Eureka - I am also watching both series simultaneously in the moment (Eureka, however, in English, not in French), and just love them.

I wish you a lot of fun with those series!

Thanks, Suzie.

I have just finished watching pilot of Eureka (+1 to French movies). I wasn't unsure during the first hour whether I like it. I'll try a few more episodes to know really for sure. :-D

Tonight, I did a bit of French review and I wrote on italki for the first time in 6 months. http://www.italki.com/entry/350327 is adress of that piece of art :-D I'd really appreciate if anyone could correct my mistakes, there are many uncorrected French posts left, italki might be in the middle of a French crisis.

Looking at the list of international students coming this summer, I should have learnt Portuguese, Russian and Arabic as those are the most common native languages there. Of course there are many Russians and Arabs. With their numbers, there must be many of them anywhere. But what do the Portuguese see here? Many (really a lot) come to study here for years, others just for the summer. A mystery :-) (But a better one than if all the Portuguese hated it here, true).
