Woke up way too early. I had a really scary dream about cockroaches O.o So I'm studying. It's a long weekend for me that just started. I went through 120 cards in Flashcards deluxe.. reviews including vocab/sentences for my class and some naruto stuff. And now I'm working on the sentence deck I got for Anki. I am finding some small mistakes in the card's furigana. I don't know if it's the deck author's mistake or if he used some automatic tool that did it and didn't edit but they're there. No big deal though. I think that sort of thing frustrated me more when I was a real beginner because I would rarely catch the mistakes. Now I have a sense of what seems right or not and can double check it in a dictionary pretty easily.
I plan on adding new flashcards soon. I'm pretty well caught up on the cards I'm doing now even including the 40/day I'm adding now from the sentence deck. (I find that deck pretty easy so far).
Waking up at 3 am I might be taking a nap soon.

I managed to hurt my thumb sort of doing too many flashcards on my phone it seems. I use this huge note
2 with one hand and it seems fine but I think I stretch it a little more than I should or something. Anyway
I'm going easy on it. I made a ton of flashcards for the chapters coming up. Only 2 chapters left in the
book. I'm a it impatient to learn it but you can't really force this sort of thing. Just keep at it and be patient.
Anime makes more sense all the time and I think I'm going from beginner to intermediate soon finally. This
book I use calls itself intermediate japanese but I don't think you're intermediate until after you finish it. In
my opinion an intermediate learner can have a conversation and not have to stop and think... Darn I
haven't learned the grammar yet to express this thought. There will be more advanced grammar to learn
but with a good foundation of the basics you don't feel the lack too. Not constantly anyway lol.
Anki is cool. I still haven't gotten the audio going. But whatever. Stupid software is way too hard to use
considering how popular it is imho.

C:\Users\Kraem\Documents\Anki\User 1\collection.media\kore-sound-sentences-munged
That last folder is the name that the archive has setup... is that included by mistake? It's clearly not the name of the deck. Perhaps renaming the folder to the deck's actual name would help?
*edit*
Nope. The deck's name includes special characters not allowed in a folder name. So much for that idea.
*edit*
Ok I dumped thousands of files into the collections folder with no reference to a deck. It's working. On my PC anyway - I'll have to figure out how to get it to synch on my tablet/phone. And since I just dumped everything into the collections folder with no reference to the deck - if I delete said deck - how would I delete the media files associated with it? Answer.. You don't. You leave them there forever because they're mixed up with all your other media files?

You should put the files into collection:media, but not into a folder in
collection:media.
You should see all files in an unsorted mess when opening the collection:media folder
if you've done it right.

Go to Tools - Maintenance - Unused Media... That will delete the files for you.

you just have to sync with your online account. afterwards you can synch your phone/tablet with the files from your
account. The first time it takes forever to sync because there are quite a few files but afterwards it all should be
done within seconds :)
