This will be my first TAC, and I'm really looking forward to working with a team to learn some new
languages. I speak Spanish fairly fluently, so I will be able to advise or guide people studying that
language. I really want to focus on French this year, with Arabic as a side project if there is anyone else
who is interested in working with me (let me know!). I really only want to be on one team, so I can focus
my efforts as much as possible. |

Since you only want to be on one team, is being in an Arabic team a possibility?

Wow! I can't stay away even for 1 day, can I people? =P The thread is already huge!
Anyway, as Cristina said, I'll definitely be re-joining our great Russian Team. It has been a great experience for me this year!
I'd like to join a French/Romance team as well, since French is on my "main core" of study right now.

JohannaNYC, I'm reserving judgement on the possibility of being on more than one team. I want to see how many people are interested in studying Arabic and if more than one other person is interested in Arabic and French side by side. I'm interested in learning Arabic because of the historical ties it has to both Spanish and French. I'm open to the possibility of being on an Arabic team! Let's see how many people are interested.

Great! Besides us two, there's girlonthewing and Travis H. who's also studying French.
Too small for a team, but it's a start and we still have at least 3 weeks until the teams
are set in stone.

Not sure how the year will unfold, Russian is definitely my prime focus now that I have been added to the team log.
I am also going to throw down and add the following languages to the TAC2013 (knowing full well that some will fall by the wayside) but I want to see what sticks to the wall as it were...so, I would like to add German, French and Modern Hebrew...Membership on a team or teams would be ideal and preferable...
thx again
niels

Sounds good! You probably noticed I'm a newbie here, so I'm still getting used to the idea of the language logs. Are there other people who are already learning Arabic or keeping logs that maybe could join the team? I suppose we can talk about these things in the coming weeks. =P
