The problem is that it gets difficult to maintain good contact between so many members and that there is a lot of work involved in reading all those logs. It is only the middle of December now, and people will continue to sign up even into January. Should only a few new people come, I could easily combine the teams later. But if I don't start a new team, there is the risk of having your team double in size and believe me, reading so many logs would be so much work you would hardly have time to study.

If we have a second team, please let's not name it Team Bratwurst or Team Bier. Das treibt ein bisschen zu weit. That would be a bit too much ;)

I see what you mean. I didn't really browse this forum before August this year, so I'm
not quite sure what to expect.

Please, indeed! ;)

I'm writing to say that I'll spend next week in Galicia, so I will be seldom here or even never while being there. But don't be too happy, you won't be able to get rid of me so easily!

About me: I'm Jack and I've just started learning German in the past couple of weeks. I've got a B2-C1
level in Spanish and feel it is a good time to start a new language from scratch. Don't ask me why I
chose German because I'm not so sure myself.

I'm going to commit to this year and see where it takes me; hopefully I will end up with a solid B1 level.
My Spanish learning, with it being the first language that I self-learned, has included lots of different
methods and I've had different levels of motivation along the way. I've got a plan for German (see my
log*) that I hope will make the progress smoother and more efficient, while doing things that make sure
sure that I keep going (including being part of this team).

There was talk of a Skype meetup; are there any dates and times for that as yet?

Jax.

I love the Team Schnitzel name!

-Am touching base with you folks to let you know that I'll be - as mentioned on the Registration thread, and with
your indulgence, if you'll allow me - be starting my German only after I've finished my Assimil Experiment Italian.
(Which, God help me, may well turn out to be in 2028 like - ahem - a
certain other forum member
. )

Anyway, the idea is to start German "in the Spring" (the phraseology thus leaving a bit of wiggle room in the
scheduling), so that I'm not concurrently beginning two new languages.

As I may have previously mentioned on the forum, I've taken a semester of German many years earlier, and
enjoyed it tremendously. But I can safely be once again considered a beginner.

I'm also on the second Romance Languages Team, possibly to be entitled "Pax", so have tentatively renamed my
log The Peaceful
Schnitzel
.

- Looking forward to following your logs, and being on the team!
