Sunja and mrwarper, many thanks for your kind words. But let's not be hasty: "Man soll den Tag nicht vor dem Abend loben." ;)
In fact, I don't really know yet what my responsibilities as a Godfather will be. I guess I'll just lurk around your logs and add my two cents here and there if necessary. Of course, I'll be glad to help all of you in your language learning process and answer questions about German, Germany, and the Germans. :) If you plan to do Skype sessions I might sneak in now and then and give you some native-speaker input.
But just as a real godfather (the mafia kind, of course...) I would like to stay in the background when my help isn't needed, because I'll do my own TAC on the Russian team. I hope I can assist all of you nevertheless.
Please feel free to contact me via PM whenever you feel the urge to do so!
Schöne Grüße und viel Erfolg! :)

Anybody interested in venturing some writing? I don't know everybodys' levels yet but if there's anyone signing in it might be good to say what you plan to do or would like to do in your log. I'm debatting on turning my log all-German for as long as I can hold out oder bis die guten Geister mich verlassen.^^
anybody else want to do any writing practice in their logs?

My German is at B1, with a few gaps here and there due to the fact that it lied dormant
in the back of my mind for two years until September. I was actually getting frustrated
while playing Majoras Maske (Zelda) today because it contains almost only familiar
vocabulary.

My German is above 1/3 A1, which means that today I've completed 1/3 of the A1 course, but I also study on my own, so I hope to improve faster.
I am actually interested in writing, so I registred an account on Lang-8 last weekend. However, I ain't capable of deciphering intermediate texts yet. I hope it happens soon!

Josquin has already been very helpful during this 2012 TAC and I would like to thank him again here.

Auf Deutsch schreiben?? Ahhhh ich habe zu viel Angst! I'll be doing ein bisschen German writing on my log
(which is here by the way: http://how-to-learn-any-language.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?
TID=34500&PN=2&TPN=1) and wrote a tiny bit tonight.
Möchten wir eine Name für unser Team wählen?? Any ideas for a team name? Do we want to have a team name? Do
we want to go all out like the Russian team and have skype sessions? Inquiring minds wish to know! :)
Tschüss!

What kind of Skype sessions are you referring to? Text or voice?

GERMAN TEAM -- is okay for me
TEAM "STARK" -- strong
TEAM "REISE" -- voyage
TEAM "GEIST" -- spirit but also ghost
TEAM "ZIEL" -- goal
TEAM "FLEIß" -- diligence
TEAM "GLANZ" -- we're pretty ;)
It's really hard coming up with a team name *whew*. ^^ Any other ideas?
