I don't know what being team captain entails other than setting up the thread but I'm happy to put my hand up for
French if no one else wants it ................ I will also be away overseas Jan 1 - 6 if that matters but in French
speaking New Caledonia so it counts as study!

That's precisely why I haven't volunteered. I've been in one team, which was going well, but sadly our team leader passed away. I suspect a good team leader does a lot more than set up the thread, but I haven't much direct experience of what else.
