Марк, that's what I, Cristina and everyone always tell you. We don't like your
"corrections" when you assume that everyone is stupid and we should already know
Russian, with sarcastic comments or without explanations.
You could have rephrased that with "Hey @tarvos, when you say 'от Лермонтова' means
that Lermontov himself sent you the book. You should use 'bla bla bla' instead."
Or something just as nice and useful.
We don't need sarcastic comments. We don't need you implying how dumb we are with
Russian, we already know that. We need help, explanations and a little more kindness
from you especially. |

But I have written detailed explanations on the forum meny times without any sarcasm,
haven't I?

Yes, you have! And it would be great if you did it like that every single time. The sentece I quoted from you shows exactly why some people don't like your answers. At least some of them.

Ok, and that's enough bickering in my thread. Mark, I trust you got the hint.
Today is a day where I feel like a complete tool for saying I speak several languages.
Although I was once introduced as "a real polyglot". Which is only on the money if you
count my substandard Russian and hilariously overwrought Swedish as languages I do more
than stumble in.
The one thing I dislike hearing is "oh but you are talented and you can learn things so
fast and your pronunciation is so good and wah wah wah you must be from an
interplanetary zoid station that you know so much!!!!"
If I speak well, that is because I spent hours perfecting it, thank you. And I really
spend way too little time on it if I want to be a real polylgot.
The only thing I know I am all right at is memorization. That helps, but it's about it.

natten:
Tomhet
Jag vill gråta och skrika,
orka vara besviken
på känslor och emotioner.
I alla situationer,
vill jag säga dig:
"Du kan stanna hos mig".

Just translating some song lyrics:
Du är fri och tar allting för givet, du kan skratta åt livet
You are free and take everything for granted, you can laugh at life
Du lever för stunden, precis som jag
You live for the moment, just like me
There's noodles and borrowed money, you've got grey aftereffects
men lyckan i grunden, precis som jag
but happiness at heart, just like me
Vi är som personifierade nittiotal
We are the nineties personified
i ett virrvarr av chanser och val
In a chaos of opportunities and choice
Ont om rutiner, gott om dåliga vanor, gott om kitchiga planer
Routines are painful, bad habits are good, kitschy plans are good
Jag lever för kicken, precis som du
I live for the kick, just like you
I'm becoming uninspired and sick of requirements and stress
I have freedom in my eyes, just like you
Här står livet i farstun, så nära inpå
Here life is on my doorstep, so close to me
men det är nåt som gnager ändå
But there's something gnawing somewhere
Det kallas tvivel, det där som stör
It's called doubt, that thing that bothers
It's called a lump in your stomach and a bizarre mood
And I see how you're contemplating something
hur du längtar dig bort
how you're longing to get away
som en fågel i bur
like a bird in a cage
En obehaglig distans
An unpleasant distance
en konstig känsla nånstans
A weird feeling somewhere
Det känns tomt - eller hur?
It feels empty - doesn't it?
