I'm a bit sad you have given up on German, it is after all the closest thing to Swedish that you have on your list. I'm impressed with your Spanish progress though. The next time I go to Barcelona, I'm bringing you along as a guide. It was rather embarrassing being there without knowing a word of Spanish -_-

It's not that I'm giving up, I'm just ignoring it because we don't get along so well at the moment.

Just a quick Saturday morning update.
I got my visa, and will be heading back to France on Monday. :D
Es: I have passively done up to Lección 31 of Assimil *edit* 37 now, had a bit of a read by the pool. *. Have doe the exercises for about two thirds of that. I am just finding it a somewhat interesting read. So that's why I'm powering along. I'll get the exercises done at some stage. I wasn't really able to focus yesterday afternoon with the joy coursing through my body. So voilà.
TAC: Gonna need to harden up and remix another language into this thing (German? I really should...Italian could be easier though. Sad thing is that I'm going to go back to work, and I've got a lot to catch up on so I dunno how that will affect things. Hopefully, I'll just slip back into something like Pimsleur on the métro and excercises at home. That's the plan anyway.
Thom.

Hey Leo, this is pretty much the case. I spent Monday and Tuesday travelling, Wednesday signing things, Thursday at work, and I am still at work at the moment. I haven't had time for any study. Combination of jetlag and just plain tiredness means when I am not working I'm resting/asleep.
I did however go to a night honoring Cuba and enterprises promoting Cuba in Paris on Wednesday night. I listened to the Cuban Minister for tourism, and the host of Radio Hispaña or something, talk for a bit in Spanish and it was all rather hispanicy/cubano. It wasn't all that good, but I got free mojitos and champagne.
I am thinking that I may try to muscle my way through Assimil German, thought about it on the trip over. It's there mocking me for my weakness and failure.
Let me catch up on lost sleep and I'll start doing some non-work related work.
Thom.

Readers Mine,
Es: Nada.
Fr: I'm back in France.
De: Ja, Deutsche! I have worked my way through a dozen or so Pimsleur German One lessons, I am now upto lesson 22. It's one of the easiest things I can do, especially on my commute. I did skip through a large part of the first few though, there's only so much repetitive number learning drills that I can handle.
Assimil is on the cards, I'll bust it out soonish.
I'm still getting back in the swing of things, but I thought that I'd just bump myself back up to the first page of the Logs.
Thom.

Gah two days and I'm already on the second page.
Thanks Jiwon.
I've done another lesson or two of pimsleur, otherwise been busy.
