What about "zen"? I find it relaxing, peaceful. Obviously the anihilating part is not
really in there, but I believe a peaceful state of mind can get us to go through the
troubles this year and, in the end, anihilate the lazy part inside us.
Oh, btw, 始めまして!今から、このグループの一人で すから一緒に頑張りましょう!;)
Edit: I just saw that you already suggested Team Zen Jaseur. So obviously, i'm in with
that !

What's Satori? I found two hits on Jisho - サトリ 悟り - the former's meaning is kinda
cool though.

I like Satori a lot, but I have my doubts whether people not knowing any Japanese will be
aware of the meaning..

Isn't Zen more Chinese than Japanese?

I'm not an expert on the origins of Buddhism and suchlike but I'm pretty sure these are
Japanese words. I suspect there is a Chinese influence on almost everything in Japan's
history.

They are always welcome to google it. Why shoud we base our choice of name on what
others think?

Well, I guess it's helpful if people not in the know can identify the language studied
by the team from the name.
However, it's probably not that big of a deal because I expect most of us will add
Japanese to our log titles anyway.
With that in mind, I don't think we have to go out of our way to choose the simplest
word possible. I mean, it doesn't hurt people to learn new words occasionally. And
Satori or Zen or any romanized word is certainly more recognisable than う.
