Jeg gikk på folkehøyskole ikke så langt fra Bergen i fjor, og de som kom fra Oslo
reiste vanligvis med fly, men det var en del som reiste med tog også. Jeg ville aldri
ha funnet på å ta tog fra Trondheim til Bergan da, fordi da må man reise via Oslo, og
~15 timer på tog er en smule kjipt. :p

Det varierer for det meste på smak og behag; på denne strekningen koster det som regel
omtrent det samme å ta fly som å ta tog.
Kan ikke svare nøyaktig på hvorfor det tar like lang tid å reise med tog som med bil,
men tror det han ha noe med å gjøre at togene stopper litt her og der, og derfor ikke
følger den korteste strekningen til Bergen.

The train is also not the fastest, not comparable with TGV and ICE in France and Germany ;) But I think you can actually get it cheaper than a flight with mini-pris, if you are booking early enough. If you take a plane, you also have to get to and from the airport.
An alternative is also a long-distance bus (coach?). Cheap, free WiFi, free coffee/tee. Doesn't take much longer than a train ride.

Takk, stifa! Jeg lærer alltid så mye når jeg lese innleggene dine på norsk, selv om jeg aldri finner tid og mot til å svare =D Det blir mye mer spennende når man begynner å lære seg noe om det faktisket livet av folk fra et land, ikke bare om grammatik regler og ordlister.

Kanskje skulle jeg prøve å skrive noe annet igjen på Lang-8 !

So from what daegga says it's actually better to take the bus than the train...

At least in the night train, the chance of having more space (ie. 2-4 seats for you alone) is higher than in a bus (that's my impression at least). Also, you're not allowed to go around in the bus, except for going to the toilet or getting coffee/tee. Everything has its pros and cons. In the train, I also got a sleeping package (earplugs, blanket, cushion etc.). I didn't get that on the bus.

Husk også at bruken av "i" og "på" varierer også mellom stedsnavn; Det heter "i Oslo",
men "på Hamar". Og noe som kanskje kan hjelpe deg å huske "på landet":

(Advarsel: gammel, slitsom låt fra nitten pil-og-bue - kan forårsake traumer og
eventuelle hørselsskader :p)

Det er også dyrere å ta tog om du vil ha strøm til mobillader, bærbar pc, osv.
Nattog/buss funker om man sover godt ombord i fartøy...noe ikke jeg gjør :p
