Yeah it was never explicitly stated. Although it should be less of a problem now that 1 book is 50 pages and not 100.

I think it was stated that there would be no book only or film only challenges, so I assume a half challenge means half of books + films. That's going to be a problem for my Ancient Greek, but at least I will be able to log and track my reading!
And there's the point. You can't actually sign up for a book-only or a film-only challenge, but you can sign up for a challenge and only do that half. It's not like signing an organ donation card, which leaves you with the risk of them coming to your door to collect!

Ahem, when I ask too subtly it's ignored. Are the half-challenges only 50 movies, 50
books? (ie roughly 75 hours of audio and 2500 pages) |

I am so sorry, I did not realize that I had ignored you at any point :-) Yes, Half a challenge is 50 movies and
50
books, each of 50 pages.

I assume audio books in Ancient Greek are not exactly common? :-)

Quick question about the bot- is it possible to update reading and watching for the same
language in one tweet or do I need to write separate tweets?

Heh, now it seems my original question was lost in the flurry of posts that followed :)
Cristina, in the registration thread it only lists Full and Half challenges as options for registration. Are we still allowed to register for the Double challenges that you mentioned earlier in the discussion thread? Or are those being handled in a different way?

As of now you need to write separate tweets.
Thanks for confirming, Cristina. Is the bot supposed to allow half-challenges too?

A quick resource note for people. If you live near a capital city, you might be able to find a library for your target language at their embassy.
For example if you live in London and want Italian books/DVDs/CDs then you can borrow them. If you aren't near London and are willing to cover the cost of postage you can order them online. http://www.bibliowin.net/iiclondra/opac/default.htm
I'm told a large number of embassies provide these services, and indeed the French Embassy also provides these types of services in London.
