Having been weighed down for the past few months by a time-consuming contract creating French language podcast lessons for a well-known website, I'm extremely relieved to say that I'm finally done and that I'll now have a lot more time to devote to languages, including Mandarin, and that I hope to soon be able to go back to working on my teach yourself lessons on Québec French! Wow. Almost 2 months without a post on my own log!
It may sound odd, but as much as I enjoyed the site, it also created pressure and expectations. A break was needed. A move and a trip has also taken up much of my time. Feel free to PM me if you feel a topic of particular interest arises. I continue to do some light Japanese reading -- I discovered Conan the Detective and was suprised at how much I liked it! My beloved and trusted language partner of 3 years has been really busy with work, and meetings have been scarce of late. I am also doing some Mandarin, meeting a tutor once a week. Really enjoying it so far. Apart from that, I'm working on my QF course, hoping to come close to a complete draft by the end of the month. Sprachprofi should know better; my antipathy is definitely towards French in general, not just Canadian French - which she's been quite successfully softening me towards. Nonetheless, you're a very intelligent and interesting language learner, and I'm curious about what you're creating. 1 person has voted this message useful |
