Yes! I am VERY excited!!!
I have several audio books with the printed text that are 1500 pages plus or minus...So I am not without content to get started. I was just looking for additional ideas. :)
I have plenty of films and cannot wait. Being at an A1 level, I am curious if I will benefit to the extent of others (B1, B2 etc). However, my thesis going into this is that if I do movie watching and Extensive reading(without looking up every word) along with my current daily Assimil, FSI, Scriptorium and Intensive reading, it will be beneficial. We shall see.

As the start is indeed imminent I just want to check how I should count dramas that I
watch with subtitles: either TL subtitles or native language subtitles.
As far as I can see (from this thread), if I watch 90m of TL drama it counts as 90m
(one film equivalent) regardless of whether I watch it without any subtitles, with TL
subtitles or with native language subtitles. Is that correct?
Note that I'm not interested in counting the subtitles themselves towards anything.
Rather, I'm currently going through a session of watching some series entirely without
subtitles and others I'm watching with subtitles and then again without subtitles. I
don't know which will help me the most, so I'm doing both.
So I just want to be sure that I'm counting properly for the challenge.

What if I watch audio in English with subtitles in TL? Does it count as video or should I just try to figure out some way to count it as reading?

From my earlier grepping of this thread, it won't count as audio (because the audio needs
to be in TL for that).
You can count it as reading, but you'll have to delve into the thread to find the
conversion factor suggested (sorry, I didn't internalise that part as I'm not planning to
count TL subtitles as anything).

No, it was only me who said that it's unfair if stuff with no audio counts. The original idea was definitely to allow films with only subtitles in the TL, as in some languages it can be difficult to get films. (I guess this was decided before podcasts and audiobooks were added)
