Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a Sinitic-Romance team yet (you could try to propose one!) but you do have a few teams that would welcome you anyway since most groups meant for people studying languages from at least two families take it as "either-or".
Team Žá (at least one from Romance or Slavonic)
Team 德 (at least one from Sinitic or Germanic)
Team The Romantics (at least one from Romance)
Team East Asia (provisionally: Team 龍 / Луу) (at least one of Japanese, Korean, Mongolian, a Sinitic language (e.g. Cantonese, Mandarin, Taiwanese), Thai, Tibetan or Vietnamese) |

I suppose I'll join Team 德 then, since Mandarin is probably more of my focus language for this year. Is there any official way I have to sign up, or can I just post that here?

If you come and post in our TAC team thread, then you'll get added to the front-page
list at some point :) It'll be good to have you!

Hello all. I am officially joing Team Sputnik, the mainly Russian 2012 TAC team. I will
be primarily focusing on Russian while trying to perfect my Latin. I have posted a more
detailed description of my current situation with both languages over in the Team Sputnik
thread:

Just wanted to announce I am joining Team ɬ for Irish. I am completely new to the language
and just want to get as good as I can in the upcoming year.

You should join team Ne Nur in addition - we are all either native/advanced speakers of these languages or
studying them in 2012. Or are you afraid of 5 hours of Swahili? ;-)

Well, if one is not interested in a language, studying it is a waste of time. Why do you have that condition for joining your team anyway?

In order to limit the team to real geeks - people who either already have a hit list of >12 languages, or who
might see a Quechua grammar at a store and start reading it just for fun. 5 hours is just sampling a
language anyway, not a commitment to study it.

Sunja and SolfridChristin, thanks! I know being on two teams will be a fairly large job, since they're huge, but
I've planned for hopefully working with it. I've announced myself in the Russian team, and will be doing so
now also in the Japanese team.
My only other question is, when I set up my log, how do I add tags to both the teams I'm on? Should I email a
moderator for that?
Thank you, and enjoy the holidays :)
