I am interested in participating, but I am not clear on what the TAC involves (which is kind
of ridiculous since I've been a member of this forum for over a year, but what can I say). So here are my
questions: 1) What do you do, other than create a log? 2) How do you "win"? and 3) Are you required to study a
certain amount of time, or can you just go at your own pace?
If I did participate, it would be with Polish, Spanish, and Latin. |

You simply create a log or change the name of the log which you already have in order to let people know you're
part of the TAC. I don't think you can really 'win' (people vote at the end of the year though for their favourite
log/team/who they thoguht did really well etc), but the idea is that you just kind of enter a group in which
hopefully everyone keeps one another motivated and inspired via learning the same languages and so helps
everyone to study and learn better. Also you can go at your own pace and do what ever you want.
Are you still actively studying Polish?

Would you want to join the Romance+Slavic team? :) |

If I do end up participating, I would definitely like to be part of this team. I will let you know as soon as I decide.

Yes, I am - Polish is my focus language at the moment. Thanks for the explanation of the TAC!

I'm fine both with a Finno-Ugric team and a Finno-Ugric-Slavonic one.

I'm not ready to declare the languages I'll be focusing on in 2012 just yet, but I have a
question. 2012 will be my second year participating in TAC, and as such, I'm not sure
whether I'm supposed to just change the name of my old log or whether I can start a new
one? Personally I would prefer to start with a clean slate - would that be okay?
Thanks,
Jack

To participate in the new TAC 2012 you have both options: You can either start a new log or give your TAC 2011 log a new title by editing the first post in this log.

If it's indeed possible to be on more than one team this year, I'd tentatively be interested in the Finno-Ugric one.
