I’ve been lurking around, but now I would like to join any East Asian team. It will definitely give me an extra boost to keep polishing Mandarin as well as try to grasp a bit of Japanese.

As for me, I’m interested in being part of
the Team TAC with German and
Mandarin. Luna Moonsilver and NickJS, maybe a combo Sinitic/Germanic team is in
order…?

That sounds great to me! :D

Sounds good to me too!

I'm still around A1 in my Mandarin and I will be aiming for B1, as I like to take my
time :P.

Any ideas for a team name?

technically you could join the Germanic+Chinese team, as English is also a Germanic language:)))

So where are we on that DE/FR team? I'm seeing lots of people interested, so I think we could be a strong one

There are a lot of people studying both French and German next year (Spanky, Sunja, Bjorn, Cavesa, oziohume). Are any of you interested in being on a combo FR/DE team like this year’s Team ÇÜ?

wow, that's really tempting! But I think a French/Japanese team or a German/Turkish team would be better for me.

I've been doing mostly passive learning in French and Japanese and I'd like to do more writing in these languages (I have to review kanji first)

I'm exposed to both cultures every day so I'd like to pair German and Turkish together. I can help a lot with German. I'm starting at zero with Turkish.

I'll keep watch on this thread to see if either of these teams start to build. If not, I'll stick with my individual TAC.

I'm definitely up for a French/German team.   So far, it looks like expressions of interest from oziohume and Bjorn and I don't believe we have heard from cavesa yet. I agree there are likely to be more who may be interested in joining as well, as these are awesome languages!

My only hesitation in putting myself forward for a team relates to some possible limitation on my time availability to study and post during the middle two weeks in January and from mid-March to early May), but otherwise I am very keen.

Would anyone like to form a Polish study team? (any level - I'd be a total beginner)

I still have a lot of work to do on my other languages, and I'll keep that log separate and probably out of the TAC challenge, but another place on the forum to begin learning the Polish language would be great motivation! By myself, I don't feel quite ready just yet, but I think that with others, I could give it a try.

Polish, yes I've been toying with the idea in the last few weeks. But then Common Sense
tells me that I should stick with Russian, and he's probably right ... but I haven't made
up my mind yet.
