"A child can teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to know how to demand with all his might that which he desires." :)
I'm not the only one being childish here at least

The problem is that a child needs to learn when they can demand what they want. And to realize that when they are in someone else's home, they have to play by someone else's rules.
No one likes a child who throws temper tantrums just to get what they want. :)

(I sure hope most people dislike the behaviour rather than the child, especially their own.)
Anyway, would anyone else be interested in being able to keep track of things that don't count? Basically putting some reading or audio into the same category as conversations and writing are by default. The most discouraging thing is not that *others* don't consider it legitimate, it's the difficulty of sticking to my own opinion. Is anyone else interested in marking stuff as #personal or some such in order to exclude it from the ranking but still keep track of it?

I hope you are all making use of the possibility to warm up for the Super Challenge by taking part in the April
learning based challenge by the way. I am focusing so much on Russian grammar, that this evening I
answered my sister by using a Norwegian word which I had declined according to the rules of unstressed
plural adjectives in accusative. And the word I used was not even an adjective :-)

Christina, I remember when you came up with this idea a few years ago. Your idea for this challenge has been a huge incentive to many people to incorporate native materials into their learning. It's helped a lot of people regardless of whether or not they have finished it. That's a good thing for language learning and I salute you.

Sigh, now you tell me? Lol!
Will there be a standard way to count the number of pages for subtitles/LR?

Yeah you're responsible for what you have tamed :)
As for LR, on average it's 2 minutes per page. But you can't read L1 text, listen to L2 and count it as reading.

I have been busy lately. And there are several more pages I am nearly afraid to dive into, given the sample on page 30. I think there had already been an official version of the new rules by Christina around page 15 or 18, has anything changed? Could we perhaps get a thread with just the final rules so that they are easily findable? And when can we sign in? It's already half April, I am sooo looking forward to this!
